Far beyond what I had expected - PERFETTO!

What an experience! This class far exceeded my expectations. Roberta was absolutely FANTASTIC. So inviting, warm, patient, caring and just so much fun. We had a GREAT time. And she made the pasta making so easy to grasp. Roberta went well beyond what the outline of the program even said. In addition to our 3 pastas and the tiramisu we made, Roberta had made her own homemade gelato that morning and shared with us, including a delicious black cherry topping from her own home. She also had some leftover Bolognese sauce in her refrigerator that she let us try as well. Just such a great experience in such a beautiful home Kitchen. It truly just felt like being with family in your Nonna's kitchen. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Bologna who loves pasta. To my surprise, it did not feel like a touristy activity at all. Felt very genuine. Thanks again Robert for the awesome experience.

From the moment we arrived, they made everyone feel welcome with their warmth, humor, and genuine passion for what they do. Their knowledge of local cuisine and traditions added so much depth to the experience—it felt like more than just a class, but a true taste of Bologna’s culture. The atmosphere they created was relaxed, engaging, and so much fun. We loved meeting people from all over the world, sharing stories while learning how to make authentic pasta from scratch. Every step was explained clearly, with plenty of hands-on guidance, and lots of laughs along the way. And the food—absolutely incredible. From the rich, flavorful ragù to the perfectly crafted pasta, refreshing spritz, lovely wine, and indulgent gelato, everything we made (and enjoyed!) was delicious. The setting itself was just as special—intimate, charming, and the perfect backdrop for such a memorable experience. We left full, happy, and inspired—and would recommend this class to anyone visiting Bologna. Truly unforgettable!

A day well spent

This is what you’ve been looking for. Being invited into the home of a native Bologna resident that is gracious and a beautiful host. Teaching you to make recipes she was taught from her grandmother. Her home is spacious, inviting, warm and Maria Grazia is the best of hosts. The food we created together was the most delicious I’ve had in Italy. It was a day well spent.

Dinner with family.

Giovanna, Laura and Francesca gave us the best experience of kindness, friendship and family! The market tour with Giovanna was lovely as she shared her love of Bologna and her knowledge of local fare. As we arrived at her home we were greeted by her daughters like longtime friends. The cooking class was like a lesson from your favorite grandmother and cousins. The food was amazing but the fellowship was the highlight. Definitely an experience I will treasure for years to come.

A must-do experience.

A fabulous experience all around. Our host/teacher Pete was fun, charming & super knowledgeable as he coached us through making from scratch Tiramisu, ravioli & tagliatelle. During the whole process, he kept the Prosecco flowing, and after the pasta was cooked & served, provided a bottle of white & red wine. We were in a small group of 5 people, 3 from the UK who were super fun cooking & drinking companions. If you’re in Bologna, I highly recommend you experience this amazing event.

Wonderful, inviting cooking class

This was a warm and welcoming cooking class! Hosts spoke English very well, we had great instruction on how to make pasta. I will need to practice for sure! Then eating our creations at the end with great wine, and each of the three pastas cooked differently was amazing! And we made new friends! Def recommend!
