Must Do in BCN
Absolutely incredible experience in Barcelona. We started with a tour through La Boqueria market where Gabriella helped us pick out the fresh seafood for our paella while teaching us about the local ingredients, culture, and traditions behind the dish. It made the entire experience feel authentic from the start. The class itself was fantastic. Very hands on, interactive, and informative. We were actively prepping, cooking, learning techniques, and building the paella step by step. We also had amazing appetizers including pinchos, made authentic paella from scratch, and finished by making a delicious St. James cake. Everything felt thoughtful, authentic, and incredibly well organized. Gabriella and Gabriel were amazing. Friendly, engaging, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. They also did an excellent job accommodating food preferences and allergies, which made everyone feel comfortable and included. One of the best experiences we had in Barcelona. Highly recommend.

It was an absolute blast!...
It was an absolute blast! Our bartender was fantastic, making the experience personalized and intimate with a small group. We all had a great time, and the drinks were simply amazing. If you’re planning a trip to Barcelona, I highly recommend this tour.

Pick this one!
If you're reading this, PICK THIS ONE. This was absolutely my favorite experience not just in Barcelona but Spain overall and everything I was looking for in a cooking class - insanely delicious, intimate, personalized, thorough, and in a beautiful place. Great experience before we even arrived - my partner is VERY allergic to seafood so I messaged prior to the event to confirm they could accommodate dietary restrictions (knowing this was a big ask for a smaller, personalized activity). They responded very quickly and kindly that it wasn't a problem. Took an easy metro ride with a nice walk along the beachfront to the location. We arrived to the BEAUTIFUL apartment with a warm welcome (complete with champagne) from Alfonso and Txema and they immediately made sure they knew who had restrictions to keep them away from those ingredients but still active participants in the preparation. Alfonso (a professional chef with decades of experience) explained everything that went into the preparation of the gazpacho, paella, and sangria very clearly, including how and why specific ingredients are chosen, great tips and tricks, and cooking pitfalls to avoid. He was super approachable and answered all of our questions not just about the food prep but his life and experience in the industry. We went up to the even more stunning rooftop, which he has all to himself! We had time to socialize and soak in the views and while Alfonso and Txema cooked up the food - INCLUDING a personalized non-seafood (chicken and vegetable) paella for my partner. Everything was SO GOOD and fresh and enjoyed with an insane view of the sunset over the harbor. Could not have asked for a better time PLUS we got the recipes for everything in our inbox the next day. THANK YOU Alfonso and Txema for being so kind and welcoming, will sing your praises forever!

Definitely do this!!
We absolutely loved the Rooftop Paella Class! Benjamin was such a gracious host and made the experience feel personal and welcoming, especially since it ended up being just the two of us. One of the most interesting things we learned was that the true star of paella is actually the rice itself, not the seafood or meat that goes into it. He explained the process so well and made it both educational and fun. This was a very hands-on experience. We chopped vegetables, grilled the seafood directly on the special paella pan, and helped stir and build the dish step by step. The entire class took about 90 minutes, and with the beautiful weather we were lucky enough to enjoy the rooftop setting the whole time. The portions were extremely generous — honestly more food than we could finish! Unfortunately our hotel room didn’t have a refrigerator, so we couldn’t take leftovers with us, but thankfully Benjamin had a neighbor who happily benefited from the extra paella. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona!
