What are people saying about Antigua

Recommend this hike
It is a good hike with spectacular views from the top. The hike was harder than I had anticipated but worth it. The guide was helpful and encouraging. Everything ran on time. I dropped an item in the bus. The company was very helpful in locating it and returning it to me.

Wonderful Experience with Marlon and Joel!
We had a wonderful experience on this tour! Our driver, Marlon, was punctual, extremely friendly, polite, and respectful. Even though we didn’t speak Spanish, he made a genuine effort to communicate with us in English, share interesting things about his culture, and make us feel comfortable throughout the journey. We really appreciated his enthusiasm and kindness, and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the drive. Our tour guide, Joel, was equally wonderful! He was knowledgeable, respectful, and took the time to explain Guatemala’s history, traditions, and Maya culture in an engaging way. It’s amazing how much we learned about Guatemala and its rich cultural heritage in just seven hours! Both Marlon and Joel made the experience memorable, and we truly appreciated their efforts. We would highly recommend this tour!

Once-In-A-Lifetime Experience!!
What a fantastic experience! I would highly recommend booking the Acatenango hike with Experience GT. Clear communication before, during and after the experience. Our guides were Roberto, Jessica, and Daniel. Depending on the varying hiking speeds of the members of the group, the group naturally falls into separate hiking paces, and I ended up spending the most time hiking with Roberto. He had us LAUGHING nonstop on this hike. The guides are very social, friendly, and helpful. A couple of tips: - Even if you are in great hiking shape, hiring a porter on the way up makes a huge difference. Well worth the money spent, and you get to truly enjoy the hike. - (For seasoned hikers) the Acatenango hike is medium difficulty, not that bad at all, but the elevation can make it more difficult for some. The optional Fuego hike is incredible, but this is notably harder than the Acatenango hike. You go steep downhill on ash terrain, so you’ll want to bring your own or rent hiking poles for this hike. Then you ascend Fuego on the same terrain, with multiple other groups going up and down the same narrow path. - When we reached Fuego, everyone we encountered that was coming down didn’t see anything, as the volcano was dormant. We reached the viewing point and waited as Roberto did his fire dance (ask him about this!!!!) - the volcano started up with multiple eruptions after that! - If you don’t feel up for the more difficult Fuego hike, don’t sweat it - GREAT views of the eruptions at base camp as well! - Overall great experience with a great group of hikers and guides. Would definitely recommend, 10/10 !

Excellent shuttle...
Excellent shuttle service! Joshua was such a pleasant driver, and he was very thoughtful in that he spoke slowly enough for us to understand him (todavía estamos aprendiendo español!). I would highly recommend using this service for your inter-city transportation in Guatemala.

Antigua, Guatemala, tours run the gamut. To get your adrenaline pumping, opt for an overnight sunrise summit hike of the Acatenango Volcano to safely view the adjacent—and still highly active—Volcán de Fuego. Not an early riser? Buckle your helmet strap and explore the countryside and its mountain villages via ATV sunset tour. For something more laid-back, take a day tour of Lake Atitlán, join a cooking class and market tour, or learn about the locally-produced chocolate and coffee. Whether adventure-driven or culture-centric, each Antigua tour will give you something to talk about.
