Fuego + Acatenango = Close to Heaven
This is a once in a lifetime experience! Not for the beginner hiker! We clocked over 14+ hours of hiking and over 8,750'+ elevation gain. Our guides Angello and Rojilio were fantastic, like brothers to us by the end of the trip. Our group of 14 were fast friends and encouraged one another the whole way! Base Camp + Fuego + Acatenango was incredible! Sunset, volcanic eruptions, winds, clouds, ocean views, unreal! Don't miss this chance to go with Brothers to the top of the world!

Once in a lifetime experience
Amazing experience, Santos and Alex went above and beyond for us to feel comfortable and they made sure we got there safely. They shared tips and safety measures in order to enjoy this experience. I had terrible altitude sickness and struggled a bit during the hike but they were incredibly patient with me and encouraged me to keep going. I am incredibly grateful for them. Amazing experience, would do it again.

Amazing experience
Fun hike. Challenging, but worth it. Brought all my own snacks and water. You can also buy at certain stations along the way. Our guides were really nice. The accommodations were whatever, but that’s not why you book this trip. Only request id make is pack us a better lunch/dinner.

This trip was amazing. We...
This trip was amazing. We were a little underprepared to carry as much in our pack as we did, so I would say pack smart and layer up because it get cold overnight. The guides that went up Acatenango with us were so kind, patient, and tentative. They are really good at what they do and I was just so impressed by the work they do. Highly recommend this tour company.

  • Overnight tours usually include meals and transport, though you’ll generally have to pay the entrance fee to the park yourself.
  • The hike up Acatenango is strenuous, and should only be attempted with a good fitness level.
  • Temperatures drop near the top, especially at night, so pack warm gear including a quality sleeping bag.
