I did this tour yesterday...

I did this tour yesterday with Gordon. I am travelling alone and we were 10 people in total in the group. I got a message the day before the tour with details and what to do to prepare for the tour, which was quite helpful. Once everyone was picked-up (total of 10 people on the tour), and given that we did not know each other, Gordon managed to keep the vibe very friendly and warm by engaging with each one of us is a very light-hearted and funny way. This meant that by the first stop, we all knew each others names and there was not awkwardness as we had all been sharing laughs. Gordon provided interesting info about places we were driving through, telling us to look to the left or the right, etc. Seeing the penguins was amazing, but also amazing was seeing baboons, antelopes, ostriches, and the landscape is absolutely breath taking. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can definitely say this is one tour to not miss.

Great Wine Tour

We had a great time on the wine tour. Our guide was funny, very informative and knowledgeable. It was great value for the cost. We had a snack board at the first vineyard with 5 wine samples, lunch at the second with 4 more wine tastings (this wasn’t included but we paid £8 for an amazing burger and chips). At the last vineyard we had 5 more wine tastings paired with chocolates. We would highly recommend this tour.

A great scenic day for the wine drinkers

This was a fun scenic foodie/wine tour to 3 wineries. First stop is wine and cheese pairing, second wine and lunch, third wine with chocolate. Last stop for bubbles was not necessary but a good tour of Stellenbosch and University. Our guide Bonga was excellent. Lunch serving was enormous - suggest share one platter and box the other for the guide’s family.

Worth every penny

This is a must day trip that will enlighten you on the southern coast filled with magnificent fews, wildlife, and African history. Talent is your man to take you through this memorable day. He speaks of the history from a local perspective and fills you with insight that only one that has lived and experienced can. No rush, it's your day, but monitors your time to do what you desire. Talent had a small Mercedes SUV that was very comfortable. After the short boat trip to seal island Talent took us to a local fish and chips restaurant on the docks where we had some delicious calamari, prawns and fish. It was so much fun learning about his home and he was interested in learning about our lives in the US. We were in Cape Town for only a couple of days so having a private guide and car made it possible to see the highlights of the cape coast possible. The experience was worth every penny. Do not hesitate to book this tour thru Beyond Africa--you won't regret it.

Well worth a long day!

This tour covers a lot of ground but is well worth it, especially on a warm sunny day like we had. It's also a great alternative to more expensive cruise tours to the same places. There were 17 of us in a large, comfortable van with AC. Gakeem was a skilled driver, and Ibby was an excellent guide (a native of Cape Town), friendly and very knowledgable. He shared interesting info and history of all sites on the itinerary. All was well timed without feeling rushed. Table Mountain was clear and panoramic (no cloud cover). We had to wait 30 minutes in line for the cablecar, but when we left the line was 2 hours! The drive along Chapman's Peak had gorgeous coastal views. Ibby took a group vote and chose a lovely spot with several options for lunch on your own. Cape of Good Hope had spectacular views of the cape and coastline. Along the way we saw baboons, a zebra and ostriches out in the wild. The penguins at Boulders Beach were a highlight! It was a full 10-hour tour but well worth it for all we got to see. I highly recommend it, but do yourself a favor and GET THE ALL-INCLUSIVE TOUR that includes tickets for Table Mountain, Boulder Beach, Cape Hope. It was quite a challenge for several guests to try and get tickets on their phones or at the sites where there are usually long lines. You'll save yourself the hassle and won't hold up the entire group!

Beautiful day out

Great day out. Family friendly. Everything was run on time. A good amount of time was allowed between pick ups from the wineries by the bus and tram. The wineries were beautiful and so was the scenery. Perfect weather helped. Wine was lovely. If you want to eat lunch at the winery the make sure you reserve a table. They get very busy. The coach back to Cape Town was very comfortable and had wifi.

Great safari near Cape Town

James was great and very knowledgeable. He made sure that I was ok and made the perfect number of stops to stretch legs and have a comfort stop. The game drive was the most luxurious I’ve had. The vehicles were new and I was surprised to make a stop halfway through for a refreshing beverage and bathrooms. I just wish it was longer.

Fantastic trip

Table mountain was absolutely stunning well worth aI visit. The Cape of Good Hope was fantastic too we did the 30 minute walk across from the lighthouse quite easy going until the decent to the car park I don’t like walking down steep steps/slopes. Bolder beach was good too but far too hot to just stand n look at the penguins.

Nice Easy Way to do Safari-Like Experience

Aquilla is a private game reserve a couple hours drive from Cape Town. It is also a hotel/resort and spa. This Viator tour provided a private car ride to and from the reserve with Isaac who was a friendly, courteous driver who share a lot of information with us during the drive about South Africa, Cape Town, history and local points of interest. During the 2 hour ride on the safari truck, we saw elephants, lions, rhinos, zebra, African buffalo and other wild life. This is a good way to see these animals within easy reach of Cape Town.
