A great way to experience the less touristy side to Nairobi. Catching the crazy local buses and checking out the conditions at the local community produce market sprawling along the side of a busy road are things you would not otherwise see or do unless living in Nairobi. Nehmo is a charming, efficient and informative host - obviously well known and well liked in her community so I felt safe and relaxed in her company. She chose the best and freshest produce at the market, and meat at the butchery before we headed to her lovely apartment for the cooking lesson. The building was without power on our day but this had not worried her one bit - we were able to make a delicious lunch that we all enjoyed. Thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing a different side to Nairobi, meeting locals and eating good food.

Excellent performers!

Show (dancers, costumes, music) was excellent!!!! Even the live music before the show was excellent. Salad bar was good. The meats were ok, could've been a little more juicy, left them on the grill too long. Beware, drinks are not included in the price. Beware, what looks like chimichurri at the salad bar, IS NOT chimichurri, they're diced hot peppers. Signage at the salad bar is needed.

The driver, whom I wasn't able to get the name was very nice and accommodating. Although we didn't get to see most animals I guess because of the weather too, it was still fun because we really felt like he was trying so hard to find them for us. Amazing cultural experience

This is an amazing tour. Although it took 2 hours to get to the village, it was so worth it. The Masai villagers were friendly and welcoming, showing us their boma and houses. We were lucky to happen to witness them slaughtering a goat for a later evening meeting of the elders. We learned all about their past and present ways of life, they showed us how to make a fire and throw a spears, and gave us a beautiful performance of songs, dances and prayers before we parted ways. Tim was our guide and he answered any and all questions we have about Kenya, Nairobi, and the Masai people. We are so glad we chose this tour on our short stay in Nairobi and highly recommend it.

A fantastic experience in...

A fantastic experience in Nairobi! Joseph, my guide picked me up right on schedule and showed me around this fantastic national park right outside Nairobi. He did a great job upfront inquiring about which animals I was most interested in seeing. When he found out that I really wanted to see and photograph Black Rhinos and maybe a leopard, he immediately adjusted the tour to give me the best opportunity. He is very knowledgeable of the park and went out of his way to help me achieve my goals. Ultimately, he did locate a lone black rhino that I was able to photograph. Overall, a great experience!

Fantastic final day in Nairobi

I had the most amazing day with Peter, my guide! He took such care to ensure I was seeing what I wanted to see and was clearly very passionate about the animals, conservation and the national park. We went all around in search of animals and it paid off! Amazing trip - request Faith as a guide!

We had an amazing time with our guide Faith, she was great super kind, knowledge and sweet. She could answer all out many questions not only about the animals but life in Nairobi too. At Sheldrick, Faith rushed ahead and secured us THE BEST spot for the baby elephants which was great because it got so busy. Similarly with the giraffes she knew all the best spots and even the giraffes by name - super cool. The trip to the Kobe Beads was great, getting to see and support the women was really special. Before coming to Nairobi I was worried about harmful tourism/ patronising the local people or even exploiting them in any way but this tour was greta, we learnt about Kenyan society, politics and culture as well as meeting some cool animals. Highlight of my trip to Nairobi - without a doubt.

Wonderful afternoon with Obed.

Had a wonderful time site seeing and shopping with our host Obed. He arrived on time and gave us a fantastic overview of the area and what to expect on the tour. He was very accommodating and made sure we arrived at KICC in time for view a beautiful sunset. He took very nice pictures with his camera and shared the photos with us. The vehicle was clean air conditioned and had very nice African music playing during the drive for entertainment. He narrated sites and shared a lot of historical information along the afternoon as well as answered all of our questions. He was very friendly fun and made sure the experience overall was great. Absolutely Loved This Tour

I had been choosing between this tour and another activity in a national park and I was so glad I chose this. I realized I knew nothing about tea and so I learned so much and really enjoyed myself. I felt like the tour was very well thought out and organized. The grounds were beautiful and we received a lecture in the tea fields, along with seeing the different stages of the leaf and trying it of course. They had a tour around the land and showed us the different trees and landscape and the lunch was fantastic. Also I cannot forget to mention our driver Tim, he was awesome! He had so much knowledge on Kenya and made the drive there and back so enjoyable and answering all of my questions. I learned that Tim also does city tours and I’m so mad at myself for not inquiring about taking a tour with him because he was just so informative. Really loved our time!

Our 6 day safari was a once in a lifetime experience. We are very grateful to our driver, George, who was very patient, resourceful, accommodating, and efficient. We also acknowledge James who made sure our luggages arrived on time and in good condition. The choice of accommodation was superb, however, the pack lunches need some improvement. Our booking went smoothly and we definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested in going on a Kenyan safari.
