This full experience was great! Easy to get tickets and enter for the full Colosseum experience including arena access, Roman Forum and Palantine Hill. You get special access to some additional sights in the Roman Forum too. Worth the extra to get the full access pass! The only improvement would be the audio tour does not give you much information in the Colosseum. It’s only a general Colosseum introduction, not a full audio tour of the Colosseum. We would book again!
Alex_C, May 2026
My tickets were emailed to me the day before. Tickets had our names on them. We walked right up and were admitted. Good experience overall. Of course, the actual Colosseum is not to be missed.
Scott_P, May 2026
Be careful, they do not offer refunds even if you try to cancel 5 minutes after booking it, even if you offer to exchange it for a different day. I booked it online and realized I booked it for the wrong week, I immediately asked them to change it to the week before when I was going to be there and they refused.
So not wanting to spend another €100, I ended up booking directly with the colosseum for €18, and when I went I realized I didn't really need the tour after all, everybody gets access to the colosseum and Palentine Hill even with the €18 ticket. I may have missed out on somebody describing the place to me, but I got to roam around at my leisure.
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Scott_P,
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry to hear about your frustration. However, we have no record of any communication from you regarding a cancellation or reschedule request. For clarity, we normally accept reschedule requests even up to 4 hours after booking, and if your booking was for a date more than 7 days away, we allow even more flexibility.
Please contact us directly at milontoursrome@gmail.com with your booking details and proof of your attempted cancellation. Once we verify the communication, we will issue you a full refund as a goodwill gesture. We want to make things right.
Thank you for giving us the chance to resolve this.

Tickets were sent by WhatsApp with QR code versus having to visit the location in the posting. This caused confusion as it wasn’t clear if what was sent still required us to visit their location the morning of the tour. When replied and asked, never received a response. Ended up just going straight to the Colosseum with the pdf’s and the tickets worked. Heard from staff that tour companies buy up all of the tickets, charge a premium for them, so they’re now cracking down on their bookings.
Response from Host, May 2026
Hi Joseph, thank you for your feedback.
I’m glad your tickets worked, but I’m sorry the instructions were unclear and your question went unanswered. We’ll review the listing to fix the confusion about meeting locations.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we apologize for the frustration caused. Please reach out if we can make things right.
Robert_S, May 2026
Get
Ting , the tickets on line is the way to go. You still have to wait in lines..But the QR code allows you to easily walk through. You can download interactiveconversation with your phone . It's a wise choice
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Robert_S! Glad to hear that booking online and using the QR code made your visit smooth and easy. You're right – the interactive audio guide on your phone is a great companion as you explore. A wise choice indeed! 😊 Hope to welcome you again soon.

Read the instructions carefully. Your Colloseum tickets are timed (+/- 15 minutes). If you arrive outside this window you will be denied entry. You have to be AT the Colloseum (not just in the Colloseum/Forum/Palatine Hill park, which is what I had assumed). The instructions state that the security line at Palatine Hill is shorter so we went there instead and missed our Colloseum entry (and needed to repurchase our tickets). The Palatine Hill entrance though is specific to entering the Forum after you see the Colloseum (which you have 24 hours to do), but also know once you enter the Forum you can’t go back in and out, so choose wisely. Despite implying that I was stupid since “10,000 other people understood the instructions, so why couldn’t I”, the company did offer to provide us with a complimentary Trevi Fountain guided tour and refunded 30% of the ticket cost to us, for which I’ll give them 3 stars instead of 1. Obviously the Colloseum and Forum is an incredible experience despite our setbacks with this tour company (in particular poor customer service).
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Thomas_R,
Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you accepted the 30% refund and complimentary Trevi Fountain tour. Apologies if our tone felt poor – we will improve.
However, as you noted, the instructions clearly state that Colosseum tickets are timed (+/- 15 min) and you must enter directly at the Colosseum, not via Palatine Hill. We hope you still enjoyed the incredible sites.
Thank you.
Andrea_R, May 2026
Easy alternative to get tickets for the date/time I needed since I couldn’t get them through the colosseum website directly. Tickets were delivered via email a day before and everything was clear and easy!
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re so glad to hear that booking with us was an easy and quick solution when the official website wasn’t available for your desired date and time.
It’s great to know that receiving your tickets via email the day before worked smoothly and that everything was clear and straightforward. That’s exactly the hassle-free experience we aim to provide.
We truly appreciate you choosing us, and we hope you had an amazing time exploring the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine. If you ever return to Rome, we’d love to help again!
Michelle_B, May 2026
We met the representative at the meeting point across from the Colosseum. He told us we needed to download the Rick Steve's travel app for the tour. It's a free app. He also said there would be a link to download a colosseum tour. They only use the WhatsApp to communicate but we could not get him to respond. We never did receive information to get this colosseum app. Basically we paid $178 for entrance into the Colosseum. There was NO audio tour. Completely disappointed. It's only $18 a person to enter. We paid a lot of money for nothing else. No support.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the experience didn't meet your expectations. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration.
Laura_G, May 2026
No idea that I would need my phone to access the audio guide. This was not sent until the night before. My husband doesn't travel with a phone so he was not able to access the guide. Should be in the description.
Response from Host, May 2026
Hi Laura, thank you for your review — and I’m very sorry for the frustration.
You’re absolutely right: the requirement to use a phone for the audio guide should be clearly stated in the description upfront. It was an oversight on our part not to highlight that, especially since not all travelers bring a smartphone. Sending the access link the night before only added to the confusion, and I apologize that your husband couldn’t participate.
We will update the listing immediately to make the phone/audio guide requirement clear before booking. Please contact us directly — we’d like to offer a partial refund for the inconvenience.
Thank you for helping us improve.
Jonathan_F, May 2026
The colosseum is wonderful. The Roman Forum is amazing. You get to walk through history. The fact that so much remains is almost too incredible to be true. If you are in Rome and have never been you absolutely should go.
The only downside is that Viator exploit this. They buy cheap tickets as soon as they become available, and then resell them for a higher price with a link to an audio guide to try to justify the price increase.
Go late in the afternoon and queue for a ticket. Save your money.
Response from Host, May 2026
Hi Jonathan, thank you for sharing your honest experience — and for the lovely words about the Colosseum and Roman Forum. We completely agree: they are absolutely incredible.
That said, I understand your frustration regarding the ticket pricing. You’re right that many third-party operators, including Viator sellers, secure tickets in advance to guarantee entry for travelers who prefer not to wait in line or risk sold-out time slots. That convenience — along with customer support and the audio guide — is reflected in the premium.
We regret that you didn’t feel the added value justified the price. Your feedback is important, and we’ll review how we communicate what’s included and why pricing differs from official face value.
Thank you again for visiting these historic sites, and we hope you’ll give us another chance to provide a better experience in the future.
Denys_M, May 2026
Extremely overpriced regular tickets with the only benefit - you might get tickets for the next day (nearly impossible with the official service). So if you’re willing to pay more, much more (€56 on top of the actual price of €48 in our case, so €104 for 2 adults and a kid in total) for attending Colosseum on a short notice then it might be a good option. Otherwise, try buying upfront from the official service ahead of you vist. That’s, actually, is exactly what the AI bot of “Discover Rome Tours” (the actual tour operator behind Viator in our case) suggested when I contacted them directly 🤪
All in all, we got standard tickets, no skip-the-line, no underground or attic experience. The arena was included though.
So I won’t order via this service next time and will instead try to order via official services ahead of time.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thanks for your honesty. We agree—booking official in advance is cheaper. Our service works best for last-minute needs. Sorry the value wasn't clearer.
GEOFFREY_C, May 2026
Terrible experience - booked 2 trips, both got cancelled, one was cancelled the day before the trip and the second one the guide didn’t show up and when we rang viator they said it was a technical fault
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Geoffrey,
Thank you for your feedback, and I’m sorry for the confusion and frustration you experienced.
I want to provide some important context: We sent you an email before your first booking explaining that due to the free entry on the first Sunday of the month, we were unable to sell tickets for that day. We offered a full refund or reschedule. You requested a cancellation, which was processed, and a full refund was issued.
It appears the cancellation confirmation may not have been seen before you went to the meeting point. We sincerely regret any misunderstanding this caused.
Regarding the second booking that was cancelled due to a technical fault — we truly apologize for that failure on our side. That is not acceptable, and we are investigating what went wrong.
Since both bookings have already been fully refunded, we hope you’ll consider giving us a chance to provide you with the reliable service we strive for in the future.
Tibanu_T, May 2026
There is a lot of guys at the control points the will stop you for nothing 100 times, and they are verry unfriendly, thats the sad point,if you get past that, its verry nice!
Araceli_O, Apr 2026
Very easy process to receive tickets! The day prior we received our tickets and app to download our audio guide, very efficient.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Araceli_O! So glad to hear the ticket delivery and audio guide process was smooth and efficient for you. We hope you enjoyed exploring the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill!
Samuel_K, Apr 2026
The Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum were the highlight to our stay in Rome. They are not joking about entry time on your ticket. Lines can get very long. Short lines took 30 minutes, long lines 2+ hours in the elements. The tour provider was completely virtual. They sent the tickets and a link to download an app that contained a map and the audio. I had expected to have a person to ask questions to, and interact with.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Samuel_K! We're so glad the Colosseum, Forum, and Palatine Hill were the highlight of your Rome trip. Great tip about the entry times and lines—definitely something for future visitors to keep in mind. We appreciate your honest feedback and hope to welcome you back one day!
Rosanne_R, Apr 2026
This was a very confusing ticketing process. Purchasing the tickets was not problem. After reading the information, it appeared to me that I would be able to use the Viator App (which I dutifully downloaded) to show my ticket and gain entrance. Not the case. The "redeemable voucher" had to be shown to the attendant at the meeting place (not clearly marked) who then asked me to show him the tickets. What tickets? He had to take more information, then email me the ACTUAL tickets - and given the variability of the cell service, not so smooth or quick. We were told to get in line for 9:45 entrance (the tickets I purchased stated 9:30.) Once at the front of the line we were (rudely) that our tickets were for 10, come back at 10:15 (huh?) We did get in at 10:15, and of course the Colosseum itself was totally worth seeing. The recorded "tour" was mediocre, left lots of questions unanswered. I ended up wishing we had signed up for a real in person tour, with another company. We will see how the remaining tours we signed up for go.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Rosanne,
Thank you for your honest feedback, and I'm sorry the process felt confusing and frustrating to you.
To clarify for anyone reading: the voucher and app instructions are indeed the same ones that over 100 people use successfully every single day to access this tour. The steps are clearly listed — including that you must meet an attendant to redeem your voucher for official entrance tickets, and that the audio guide is a separate recorded product, not a live guide.
That said, we genuinely regret that this wasn't your experience. It sounds like the meeting point was hard to locate, the entrance times didn't match what you expected, and the staff came across as rude — none of which is acceptable. We also hear your disappointment that the recorded audio guide left questions unanswered, and that you wished you'd booked a live, in-person tour instead.
To be clear for other travelers:
Recorded audio guide = a self-paced app or device, no live person.
Live tour guide = an expert who walks with you, answers questions, and brings the history to life.
We're sorry the distinction wasn't more helpful to you in advance. We will review the meeting point signage and time coordination with our local partner. Please reach out to our support team if there's anything we can do to make this right for you.
Thank you again for sharing your experience.
Best regards,
FIND ROME TOURS TEAM
MunChee_Y, Apr 2026
I was essentially paying for a entry ticket on a day it was sold out. The audio guide was not sent to me. The person who met with me at the meeting point checked all the emails i received from Viator and confirmed that i did not get the audio app or file. He proceeded to getting my email address and sending me the audio file directly himself. Upon entering the Colosseum, I realized that the audio file wasn't matching up with what i was seeing; the speakers in the recording did not describe from inside of the Colosseum, but provided information and overview of the entire area from way outside. As a result, whatever i was hearing was completely out of sync with what i was visually experiencing. Nevertheless, i enjoyed walking around, and I couldn't have gotten in without paying for this tour on that particular day.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear MunChee_Y,
Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad to hear that you still enjoyed walking around the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine, and that the booking allowed you entry on a sold-out day.
However, I do want to kindly clarify that the audio app and detailed instructions on how to access and use it were provided as part of your booking confirmation. Our records and standard process confirm this. It appears there may have been an issue with the app download, the audio file not syncing with your location inside the Colosseum, or the instructions not being followed as intended.
That said, I fully understand that if the audio did not match your visual experience — especially if it described areas from outside rather than inside — then the guide did not serve its purpose for you personally. While the service was delivered as advertised, we take your experience seriously and will review the audio content to ensure it works well for interior use.
I also want to acknowledge that our local representative went out of their way to manually send you an audio file when they saw you were having trouble — even though this was not required.
Again, I’m pleased you were able to visit and enjoy the sites. Thank you for your understanding.
Michael_M, Apr 2026
This walking tour takes you through the well-known parts of the Colosseum with a knowledgeable guide. If you're interested in Roman history, this is a great tour.
Two comments about the Colosseum, not this tour:
1. There's not a lot of shade. Think sunscreen.
2. It's not very wheelchair friendly.
Response from Host, May 2026
Thank you, Michael! We're glad you enjoyed the informative tour and the historical insights. And thanks for sharing those helpful tips about the Colosseum—great advice on sunscreen and the wheelchair access. Much appreciated, and we hope to see you again!
Joseph_E, Apr 2026
It was great experience tour for me my partner such a great atmosphere definitely recommend to
These wonderful atmosphere to our relatives and friends to visit
Response from Host, May 2026
Dear Joseph,
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you and your partner had such a great experience exploring the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine with our audio guide app.
It’s fantastic that the atmosphere left such a positive impression, and we truly appreciate you recommending the tour to your family and friends. Nothing makes us happier than knowing our guests want to share the experience with their loved ones.
We look forward to welcoming you all back to Rome for more unforgettable moments!
Kristi_S, Apr 2026
Got my tickets easily through email. The only thing I was disappointed about was thinking I would have an audio guide to tell me things about the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, but the app was only reading information, nothing audio that I could see. I didn't have time to read anything before so I just missed info.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback, and I'm glad to hear you got in easily.
I'm sorry, however, that the audio guide didn't meet your expectations. Just to clarify — the audio guide is delivered through an app, and the instructions to access it (including download links and activation steps) were provided on page 16 of the materials sent to you prior to your visit.
That said, I completely understand that it's not ideal to have to read through multiple pages to find setup instructions. We should have made this clearer upfront. I'll share your feedback with our team to improve how we communicate audio guide access moving forward.
Thank you again for your honest review, and we hope you still enjoyed the incredible history of the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Michael_D, Apr 2026
Good amount of information but kept it moving. Kids were entertained. Very minimal (5 minutes maybe) wait in line.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Michael_D,
Thank you for your review.
We are pleased to hear that the audio guide provided a balanced amount of information without becoming overwhelming, and that it succeeded in keeping your children entertained throughout the visit.
It is also gratifying to know that the entry process was efficient, with minimal wait time. We understand the value of a smooth start to any tour, especially when traveling with family.
We appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you and your family again in the future.
Sincerely,
Find Rome Tours Team

We didn’t get to experience due to travel changes but this company was very understanding. Will definitely book through them when we return. They send messages with all the necessary information via WhatsApp so make sure you have that downloaded for communication with them.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Chelsea_P,
Thank you for your kind and thoughtful review.
While we regret that you were unable to experience the tour due to changes in your travel plans, we truly appreciate your acknowledgment of our team's understanding and communication efforts.
We are glad that our use of WhatsApp provided you with clear and timely information throughout the process. Your intention to book with us again upon your return to Rome is the highest compliment we could receive.
We look forward to welcoming you when your travels bring you back to the Eternal City.

Fantastic experience from beginning to end. I recieved my tickets through the app and walked straight into the Colosseum within about 5 mins. The Colosseum does not disappoint. The Roman forum and Palatine Hill is amazingly beautiful, we could have explored all day. Didn't use the audio guide, simply because its not how I like to explore. But I'm sure it would have been great.
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Dear Dan_E,
Thank you for sharing your positive experience.
We are pleased to hear that the ticketing process via the app was seamless and allowed for swift entry into the Colosseum. It is also gratifying to know that the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill left such a strong impression, even without using the audio guide. We understand that every traveler has a unique exploration style, and we respect your preference.
We greatly appreciate your recommendation and look forward to assisting you on future visits to Rome.
Sincerely,
Find Rome Tours Team
Raymond_H, Mar 2026
App for audio guide too So long to download at collection point because of internet overload at location... Go early..
Response from Host, Apr 2026
Thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry you had trouble downloading the audio guide app due to poor internet coverage at the Colosseum.
Just to clarify — we send all instructions, tickets, and the audio guide app download link the day before your visit, specifically so you can download everything using a secure internet connection (like your hotel WiFi) before arriving at the site.
Additionally, we do offer free WiFi at our meeting point specifically for this reason. It's possible you weren't aware — we apologise if this wasn't clearly communicated.
That said, we understand that heavy internet congestion at the Colosseum area can still cause issues. For future travelers reading this: please download the app the evening before your visit on stable WiFi, or ask our staff at the meeting point for free WiFi access.
I hope you still enjoyed the sites despite this inconvenience.
Holly_K, Dec 2024
Purchased admission tickets only. Initally went looking for pick up location because it wasn't clear how I was to receive the tickets - however 15 minutes before 12PM I received the confirmation of tickets on Whatsapp. The colosseum is very specific for ticket times. Ticket time was suppose to be 12PM but on the received ticket it was 12:45PM they didn't let us in until 12:30 (15 Minutes before ticket time) so we had to wait a little while. Once in all was great, walked to roman forum and palatine hill. But still happy we did not have to wait in the long line wrapped around the building.
Response from Host, Jan 2025
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re glad to hear that you were able to enjoy the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, even with the slight delay in ticket entry. We understand that timing can be a bit tricky, and we appreciate your patience. We’re also happy that you didn’t have to wait in the long lines, making your visit more enjoyable. Your feedback is very helpful, and we’ll continue working to improve the clarity of our communication to make your experience even smoother next time. Thank you again for your review!
vincent_P, Oct 2024
The horrible sight kept requiring WiFi to get the tickets at the site and WiFi was hard to get. The site should send tickets which can be stored in phone-wallet
Response from Host, Jan 2025
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the difficulty you encountered with accessing your tickets on-site. We understand how frustrating it can be to rely on WiFi when you're trying to enjoy your experience. We’ll definitely pass along your suggestion about providing tickets in a more easily accessible format, such as through a phone wallet. We appreciate your input, and we’re always looking for ways to improve the experience for our guests. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts!

Thank you for your fantastic review! We’re so happy to hear that you had a great time with Francesca and that her knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable.
Response from Host, May 2026
Estimada MdelCarmen_G,

Thank you for your kind review, JeanLuc_D! We're delighted to hear that you found the experience magnifique and enjoyed the incredible views from the Colosseum's ground floor and R1 level.
