Just beautiful!!

Absolutely the highlight of our trip. We were blessed with gorgeous 77 degree weather and full sun in late September and it was stunning. Our driver, Fritz was so thoughtful the whole time and pointed out many sights along the way. We stopped in St. Gilgen by the water and it was just jaw dropping. Then we stopped in the cutest little town and had breakfast and it was just perfect. Hallstatt was everything and more, just wish we had one more hour! Definitely rent a mini electric boat for 30mins, explore the church and beautiful cemetery, of course check out the famous picture spot but beware the bushes are surrounded by bees!! We got lunch but wish we would’ve got on the funicular sooner because once we did it was gorgeous and we wish we could’ve done the sky walk. Overall amazing experience and I would love to come back to Hallstatt and St. Gilgen or do a road trip again to explore all the beautiful little towns and lakes in this region!!!

Very good food and outstanding music!

This was a wonderful experience. The view from our table in the restaurant was spectacular. Beautiful sunset and a very good dining experience. Choice of dessert would have been nice! The concert experience was outstanding! The ensemble was were virtuosic. Loved the first violinist! Such sensitivity! Overall a highlight of our trip to Salzburg.

Excellent tour of the Eagle’s Nest

Excellent tour. Knowledgeable tour guide on history including the town of Salzburg and the Eagle’s Nest. The visit to the Eagle’s Nest included a short walk up to the top to see the valley. Afterwards, we went to Berchtesgaden and had a choice of 3 restaurants for lunch (cost not included in ticket). We went to Edelweiss and the Caesar salad and pizza were very tasty - and service quick and friendly. Highly recommend this tour.

Fun cooking class in Salzburg

This class was fantastic!! We made our own apple strudel and pretzels all in 1.5 hours and both tasted delicious! The recipes were presented for us to follow easily and I am excited to try making them back home. The instructor and her assistant were friendly and helpful I would highly recommend this class.

The commentator, Max, was great. He confirmed the language the majority of people spoke prior to leaving. He provide facts and jokes on the drive up but kept it to a level people could follow. Never gave too much such that you could not remember the last fact. He even stopped at time to provide updates to a couple that didn’t speak English (language used for our trip). Prior to arriving he gave options of things to do in town and around it like the funicular to the salt mines and overlook point. Our driver, Sammy, handled the bus expertly.

Mozart magic! Chamber music at the top of the Hohensalzburg Fortress!

Incredible experience. Easy to take the funicular train to the Fortress. Go a bit early so you can walk around. Wear flat shoes for stairs, cobblestones and sandy pathways. The concert is at the very top of the Fortress in a gorgeous room with amazing acoustics for chamber music. The artists are so very talented. We purchased a sparkling white wine to enjoy during the concert.

The concert hall was gorgeous. The venue of historic significance and the music transcendental. Special shout out to Matthias Matthew Beckmann- amazing performance and grace. Next morning ran into him at a local coffee shop. So down to earth and friendly. Had a great time and my son is a fan!

The Salt Mine Tour was not only fun, but extremely interesting. We got to dress up as miners and ride deep into the mine, we slid down two slides and even used a boat to get across one stretch of water! It was a really unique experience, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

He was patient, welcoming, and generous with his knowledge—offering excellent recommendations and graciously answering all of our questions. By the end of the tour, we didn’t just feel informed—we felt confident. We walked away with a true understanding of Salzburg, a curated list of places we were excited to explore (and even revisit), and the comfort to navigate the city on our own. It was the ideal way to begin our stay.
