Used the metro. Can get crowded on these trains. Go straight to the steps meeting place but be prepared to sit, if you can, waiting for tour to start. Tour has priority so a good way to see vatican museum and Sistine. Was very crowded. Glad we started early at 9:30.. Guide Eddie was very good with various instructions including on where to go when he had to leave us in Sistine. Hard to hear commentary with competing talking. Worth doing this way though. Tour finished at entrance to St Peter's.

The guide was very knowledgeable and excited to teach us the history behind the artwork. He was an expert and answered all questions.
