Our tour guide, Silvia, was very good. We saw the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica with plenty of free time after the tour was over.

Vatican Museum St Peter’s Basilica and Sistine Chapel
Our guide Norman was very patient and informative with his knowledge of Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica. Leonardo Da Vinci was amazing artist and sculptor. Respect. Lots of walking however expected. Would highly recommend 😄

An awesome day at the Vatican
I can’t say enough about how beautiful it is to see all the paintings, sculptures, and architecture up close. Our tour guide was wonderful with all the information she shared. So glad we did this tour of the Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.

Vatican City
St. Peter's Basilica on a sunny day, Rome
  • Be prepared for security lines similar to those at airports, including metal detectors, bag scanners, and potentially long waits.

  • This is one of the most popular attractions in all of Italy, so crowds are nearly inevitable.

  • The Basilica of St. Peter has a strict dress code—no bare shoulders, midriffs, or knees—and you won't be allowed in unless you adhere to it.

  • A skip-the-line tour of the Vatican Museums that includes St. Peter's enables you to bypass the basilica's long entry lines; you still have to go through the security check.

  • Climbing the dome atop the Basilica to take in the fantastic views over St. Peter's Square, requires a ticket.
