A must see

It was definitely worth the price of a private tour to see the castles, scenery and the added bonus of a drive in the Transfagurian Highway (with snow at the top). Cladiu picked us up at the hotel, checked in with us on the way there and back about bathroom and food stops. He shared the history of Bucharest, Peles Castle, Bran Castle and other points of interest. He listened and answered all of our questions throughout the 14 hour day. Peles castle was closed on a Monday, but walking around the grounds was worth the time spent there. We had a quick visit to the Town square in Brasov. Bran castle had a long wait time and was twice the price because it was the week before Halloween. We chose to walk the grounds, visit the gift shop and take pictures of the exterior, especially after finding out Vlad never lived there. The village around the castle was fantastic to visit. His driving through the many changes in weather was safe, professional and calming, particularly on the mountain roads. He stopped at a roadside mountaintop butcher stand and treated us to smoked venison and wild boar. It was a great day, particularly because of Cladiu.

Wow! I had no idea…

This was an OUTSTANDING experience! I was a solo traveler and the whole group was super friendly towards me and 4 other solo travelers in our group of 13. It’s wonderful to get driven to each spot and learn some context for each site before you arrive. Plus I had NO IDEA how beautiful Bulgaria is!!! Luciano is a WONDERFUL guide! He presents life in a unique viewpoint. The more you talk with him, the more he opens up! And our driver was excellent too! 5 Star!

Our tour to see Peles Castle, Bran Castle and the Brasov Historical Center was very special, enlightening and informative. Our guide, Santiago, was very helpful, thorough, thoughtful, kind and informative. He was very knowledgeable throughout the tour pointing out the important sights as we traveled out of Bucharest and into the countryside on our long adventure. Our driver, Romeo, was very good keeping us safe throughout the journey which was very much appreciated. The stops were very interesting and our favorite ones were Brasov and the Bran Castle. The meeting place was convenient for getting an Uber, etc. The one thing which can be improved is the comfort of the seats in the van especially for such a long voyage. They are worse than the worst coach seats on an airplane! That would be our only complaint. Thank you

Great trip in general! Peles castle is extraordinary and Brasov town really beautiful and picturesque. Bran castle is a bit of a tourist trap, but still a great scenery overall. Our guide Marius was exceptional and very helpful throughout the trip. Credits should also be given to our driver Florin for the safe and quick trip.

Best yet in our travels!

Our guide and driver Bogdan was very good. He was knowledgeable, engaging without being dominating, kind, patient, an excellent/safe driver, sported a good sense of humor and we learned a good deal of information about the history of the area and of Romania. Going to these sights was a definite must and they did not disappoint.

Must do tour!! Buy castle tix now and pack snacks!

We had Otilia and she was the best and funniest guide we have ever had! She was incredibly knowledgeable and really made us aware of the history of the Romanian people and the castles. I feel like because of how thorough and funny she was the content really stuck and it allowed us to really appreciate the sites so much more. It is a very long day! So definitely recommend you bring snacks for the bus. And pro-tip you cannot buy tickets of the castles on site. We did that an really enjoyed it! But others on the bus did not and were sad they missed the castles. This was a fantastic tour and if you come to Romania you will miss out if you don’t see and hear all of these wonderful things!

Important to check emails and advice on booking entrance tickets. Tour agency did a great job with this but not all read emails. Time management is also important as it is not easy to see all 3 sites in one day. Having a passenger who was late to every meet up was a real hassle. Fantastic - so much fun!

This is something different to do whilst in Bucharest! We had a great time. I would recommend booking a weekend morning as the roads in Bucharest are crazy any other time but the instructor was amazing. Good tutorial before you go out onto the roads and really clear guidance once you are out and about. Would definately recommend booking this. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
