Toledo Experience

Our Toledo tour with Javi showed us a different side of Spain. Our trip started with a viewpoint from a small church, which showed us the amazing fortress of the old city of Toledo. This was followed by a walking tour through the streets, houses and the main cathedral. Javi enthusiastically shared with us Toledo’s history, the significance of all the architecture and its intricate design, and the integration of different cultures. We would have wanted to visit the Alcaraz but it was not included. Javi was an incredible (and good looking 😅) tour guide, who showed so much passion in imparting all these knowledge. We highly recommend this tour.

Flexible itinerary and knowledgeable tour guide - a MUST DO

This tour was amazing! Could not recommend highly enough. Valle (our tour guide) and Alejandro (our driver) were knowledgeable, friendly, and very willing to tailor the tour to our interests. I love that it started with the drive around the city, with explanations about how the city is laid out while we took in the incredible views. Valle had extensive knowledge of the city and its rich history, and everyone in my group learned something new on her tour. I loved that she stopped at very few stores - just to show us the best of what Toledo has to offer - and that there was zero pressure to buy anything.

Great tour

We were met by Sonia at the train station. She had a cab ready to take us up the hill into the city. We visited all the places we wanted, her history was informative and personality engaging. Educated is about art, history and architecture We visited sites in Jewish quarter and Cathedral. Train from Madrid was very easy and cheap. Not worth paying for transportation Take the taxi up and walk down. The walk up would be semi arduous if not in good shape. If you get Sonia, then you will have a great day

Best Tour Guide in Toledo

When visiting Toledo I believe it is very important to go with a guide. There is so much history to know and learn and simply walking the streets on your own you cannot understand and know what the history is. We were so fortunate to be able to have Javier (Javi) as our tour guide. He gave us incredible information that is not told elsewhere. He was so incredibly polite and personable. If you are visiting Toledo I cannot recommend Javi more to give you a personal tour. Whether in a large group or just a couple he will make you feel as if you are one on one as he will give everyone personal attention and answer any questions and tell any details. He has been in the tourism business working since 2008 and even longer as this is his family business and he understands how to make your visit the best possible. We leave Toledo with a new friend for life!
