Excellent introduction to Thessaloniki
My wife and I took this excursion whilst on a Celebrity cruises of Greece and Turkey. We picked it because it offered a more comprehensive introduction to Thessaloniki than the cruise ship options and we were not disappointed. Our tour guide, Lisa was excellent. She was a font of knowledge on anything to do with Thessaloniki and was very clearly passionate about her home city. She made sure everyone had a chance to hear her commentary before she started talking at each of the stops and kept the tour moving at a comfortable pace. She even happily walked with us around the centre of Thessaloniki in the rain when all of the other on the tour chose to return to the ship. I'd also like to commend Vexperio on the great communication after booking and leading up to the tour.

Well, worth the time.
Well worth the time. Our Tour guide, Iannis, was excellent. He did a great job guiding us through the tour sites, providing a great deal of information covering the history of the city. He was knowledgeable and very personable. He made an otherwise dreary, somewhat rainy afternoon, very enjoyable and informative. Highly recommend.

The meeting point was...
The meeting point was centralized in the city but about a 25 minute walk from the cruise terminal. The Pozar baths are beautiful and very relaxing. It cost 5 Euros each to get in the baths. Then we traveled to a very cute village called Orma and had a delicious Greek lunch (not included in the price). Lastly we travelled to Edessa where there is a beautiful waterfall and lots of scenery including old towns and water wheels. We made it back in plenty of time to walk through the rest of the town and then get back on our ship! Would absolutely recommend!

Basically it’s a fantastic day trip for those who love history but in this case, it more about Archaeological finds. The museum, recently opened is simply incredible. I learned so much about the Macedonian kingdoms.
The exhibits and recovered marble are beautiful. The building is light filled!
I would like to thank Eva, for conducting a great tour, so friendly! Further to this, as a qualified archeologist, she is very knowledgeable and informative and added so much to the trip.

Excellent driver and guide
Our family had an exceptional experience with Demetris as our driver and tour guide in Thessaloniki. From start to finish, he provided a seamless, informative, and enjoyable day exploring Pella and Vergina—two remarkable sites connected to Alexander the Great and his father, Philip II.
Demetris picked us up promptly and drove safely and comfortably throughout the entire journey. When I made an error with the pickup address, he handled the situation with patience and professionalism, ensuring everything stayed on schedule. He even brought an extra booster seat for our six-year-old on short notice, which demonstrated his thoughtfulness and commitment to our comfort and safety.
His guidance at the archaeological sites and museums was invaluable. He provided helpful tips on navigating exhibits efficiently and pointed out fascinating landmarks along the way, enriching our understanding of Greek history and culture. As a Thessaloniki native whose family has lived there for generations, he shared insightful stories and historical context that added depth to the experience.
Demetris also proved to be a wealth of knowledge about local cuisine, drawing on his background as a former restaurateur. He offered excellent recommendations and ensured we enjoyed a delightful snack break by reserving a table and helping us avoid long lines.
What stood out most was his kindness toward our daughter. He made her feel included throughout the day, engaging her with warmth and patience that made the experience memorable for our entire family.
Demetris consistently looked out for our best interests and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enriching and stress-free tour. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Thessaloniki and looking for a knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring guide.

Highly recommend.
Great trip. Guide was early to the meeting point, registered everyone and we were away. Sisi was very knowledgeable c clearly explained instructions, told us about the two monasteries we would see and the times we had to be back. She recommended a place for lunch that had fantastic food and we were back on time! Overall a great day.

This bike tour was great!...
This bike tour was great! I was hoping that it would give me a lay of the land and greater understanding of the history and it did just that and more! Efthimis was an amazing tour guide. He was very knowledgeable, patient with my questions and made the tour feel like I was riding bikes with a friend. Would highly recommend as part of your stay! It was my first time on an E-bikes & they were super easy to use!

Awesome tour
Konstantina was an amazing guide. She made sure we were on time and made it to our destinations safely. The tour encompasses the unique flavors of Thessaloniki. Due to my dietary restrictions, she made sure to double check each restaurant to make sure I was able to enjoy the food. A new restaurant was even swapped into the tour to cater to my needs. Though it was just Konstantina and I, she was a great conversationist, and has a warm personality, it felt like I was dining with a friend.

Fantastic tour.
Best excursion of our entire cruise. We were picked up at the port by Yanis, a pleasant and knowledgeable guide. It was nice to see the countryside along the drive, Yanis answered our many questions. There was a comfort stop at a lovely coffee shop along the way. The monasteries are a must see. Afterwards, we ate lunch at a local restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! It was a long day but definitely worth it. We would highly recommend Yanis.

A must see while in Greece
It was a wonderful heavenly experience. Meteora was amazing and spectacular and definitely a must see. Our private tour with Dimitri as our driver - he was fun and a skilled driver. He even took us to his favorite spot for late lunch early dinner and food was outstanding. The car write was comfortable as expected in a Mercedes Benz.

Worth it
Guide was dynamic, knowledgeable, kind, patient, present, only positive words to say about her. High quality, she was so kind that I will miss her. The short hike on Mt Olympus was just right and gave the flexibility to stay at the waterfall, time in Dion was just enough, the exhibition at the natural center was perfect and informative, we had a very nice day

Get closer to the gods on Thessaloniki tours. You can climb Mt. Olympus, where ancient Greeks said Zeus and Hera ruled the human world, or explore Meteora, a complex of Eastern Orthodox monasteries that sit precariously on the top of stone monoliths. Whichever you choose, the city will be waiting for you when you get back. Perhaps a pub crawl or wine tasting will take the edge off the encounter with the spiritual—if not, some thermal baths will do the trick instead.
