Meteora is truly a wonder to behold! The 3 hour drove one way was absolutely worth it for this once in a lifetime experience of visiting ancient monasteries built on tall rock formations.

It was a wonderful heavenly experience. Meteora was amazing and spectacular and definitely a must see. Our private tour with Dimitri as our driver - he was fun and a skilled driver. He even took us to his favorite spot for late lunch early dinner and food was outstanding. The car write was comfortable as expected in a Mercedes Benz.

The monasteries were absolutely amazing. Well worth the 6 hours of driving or so roundtrip. My guide dimitris was knowledgeable, very attentive to my desires, and did a great job getting me back to ship on time. He also took me to a great lunch place. Very possible to take this trip if you take a cruise...be the first few people off, I was the second person off the boat, and it's worth the drive. Took some amazing pics

Meteora is a beautiful UNESCO heritage site. We took a private tour and opted to only go in to 2 of the 4 monasteries offered on the trip because of the extensive stairways required to get to them. But our wonderful driver George took us to several spectacular scenic viewpoints so we felt like we got a real sense of the area. Wonderful trip made possible by an excellent driver.

Our driver George was wonderful. It is a long and windy road, but he was a superb driver and great with us and adding such info for us. He was absolutely excellent.
Meteora is wonderful , but do read about it first and don't go if you have the ability to climb steps

We expected a “tour” as advertised, with a knowledgeable guide. We got a driver and a small vehicle. While we paid for the premium tour, we were simply dropped off at sites - we paid separately for tickets, lunch, water, etc.
