I had a wonderful tour of not one, but two open air markets to buy fresh ingredients which were used to cook lunch.
The cooking class was loads of fun and I learned some new techniques for making Gemista. I also made Dolmadakia for the very first time - way cool!
And, of course, I got to enjoy a delicious traditional Greek lunch … which I helped make!
Best of all, Maria, my tour guide was fantastic. She was knowledgeable, personable, and a lot of fun.
I highly recommend this Greek Cooking Class for anyone interested in learning more about Greek food and Thessaloniki.

Really enjoyed our cooking class. Konstantina was an amazing guide. Really enjoyed walking through the market to get the food and talking. The cooking class itself was really fun and informative. Being in a restaurant with no one else there was really cool. Everyone was so nice, and the food was delicious.

Casual fun experience with a friendly and informative guide. Easy walking tour of the market with friendly and helpful vendors. Cooking in the group setting was fun but the meal was even more enjoyable after making a new group of friends.

My grand daughter and I had a wonderful day visiting 2 markets, sampling greek products then cooking several Greek dishes for our lunch. Our guides, Thelis and Kostas, gave us information on how the history of the area has influenced the cuisine. The cooking was done at a taverna where our instructor was the chef and owner. While the dishes were simple, I picked up some great tips for making these dishes super delicious. If you are looking for an authentic experience and connecting with Greek people, this is for you!
