Solo trip to Oxford
I loved my harry potter oxford tour with Vaish! Vaish was a fantastic guide and clearly very passionate about both oxford and harry potter. We saw the inspiration for the Great Hall, the portraits, and where they filmed scenes from Goblet of Fire (to name a few). I really appreciated her knowledge about oxford’s history in general, as that enriched the experience more. Would do it again!

An Interesting and Wonderful Visit!
The experience brought the history of the past and present to life. A meaningful experience to visit one of the favourite homes of the British Monarch. The castles rooms and hanging paintings brought back memories of Kings & Queens studied from history. It was well worth the visit!

Worth the money!
Independent Friends (the company name) picks you up right from the cruise port and takes you to Salisbury Cathedral. We did not go into the actual church. One person actually purchased a ticket and went in quickly. We had 30 minutes here. Then off to Stonehenge. As a group we decided to take just about 75 minutes at Stonehenge so we could spend more time at Windsor Castle. We arrived at Windsor Castle around 1:15 and then had to be back at the bus by 4:00. The guide (we had Salvador) gives you info on each place on the bus. He lets you wander on your own but is there to answer any questions or take pictures. I downloaded the free app for a Stonehenge “tour”. Windsor Castle has an audio tour in many languages that comes with the entrance fee. This trip was roughy $250 per person- a bargain for being picked up at the cruise ship terminal, luggage taken care of, transportation to all places, entrance fees to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle and then they drop you off at your hotel in London (we were staying Heathrow). Great tour! Great tour guide - Salvador and driver -Kieran.

Oxford University Tour
We enjoyed this tour of the university with Sam Day. We passed by several key spots within the city centre, and Sam kept us engaged with information about Oxford generally, as well as stories about notable alumni and professors, and British history generally - even our teens enjoyed it. He was also great with pace and questions. Thanks again Sam!

A Truly Outstanding Oxford Walking Tour
We had an outstanding three-hour walking tour of Oxford University with Riccardo. He recently completed his PhD in medieval history, and both his academic expertise and his experience as an Oxford student brought incredible depth and authenticity to the tour.
His knowledge of the university’s medieval foundations, traditions, and evolution was fascinating. He didn’t just share facts — he provided context, perspective, and stories that made the history feel alive and relevant.
We learned so much, and the three hours flew by. Riccardo was engaging, articulate, and clearly passionate about his subject. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a meaningful and memorable introduction to Oxford.

A wonderful informative tour.
Our tour guide Sonya was prompt. Immediately made us feel comfortable on the ride. Sonya is relaxed and very knowledgeable about both the history of the Cotswold villages we visited and the country side. We had plenty of time for photos and perfect amount of time at each village. I would highly recommend this tour. Sonya was very conscientious in returning some people to train station in time to catch their train. Thank you for a too notch tour.

A very time efficient way to tour interesting places on the way from Southampton back to London
This small-group tour by minibus was very efficient and comfortable — a great way to see more in a limited time. I only wish we could have spent a few extra minutes at each stop, though it’s understandable that some travelers needed to reach Heathrow by a specific time.
Our guide, Marek, was outstanding — clearly well-prepared and very knowledgeable. He shared interesting insights throughout the journey and even sent us photos from the trip afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch. Our driver, Haleskey, was excellent as well — attentive, professional, and always making sure everyone was comfortable and safe.
Overall, a well-organized, enjoyable, and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Our guide was very nice...
Our guide was very nice and cheerful. The drive to Stonehenge was a bit long and the guide didn’t talk all the way. Once to Stonehenge she walked around with us and gave great insights. Our driver was great, but we felt bad; the luggage was heavy and he had to carry 2 walkers and a wheelchair onto the bus. Please be sure to tip well!

Good fun
It was fun 45min. Definitely worth checking out.
I hoped to see more of Oxford but to be honest, I based that on viewing London by river. Don't expect to see churches nor castles. It's mostly rowing clubs, pubs and greenery but still worth it as a one off experience

Transfer from London Heathrow to hotel in Southampton with stop in Stonehendgr
This was a perfect choice for us who flew into London Heathrow to get to Southampton to join a cruise. The stop at Stonehenge was just enough of a side trip after an overseas flight to start up our vacation. Our driver was very friendly and met us inside.

Yummy Food + Gorgeous Views = A Lovely Afternoon
Had the best afternoon of high tea on the Thames! Every bite from the sandwiches to dessert was amazing. Skipper Nick was so friendly and full of great stories (and his dog totally stole the show). Perfect mix of yummy food, gorgeous views, and good vibes.

Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral Sightseeing
Terrific excursion. Khalid was our driver and we found him very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a very comfortable drive from our hotel in Southampton to Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral. Khalid took us directly to the entrance of each site and explained where to go and where to meet back. He also encouraged us to enjoy the experience and not be too concerned by the time. We felt we got just what we needed from the two sites without being pressured about timelines. We would definitely use his services again if we were back in the area.
