The tour starts at 20:00 from the hotel in Sharm and takes about 3 hours by coach to reach Moses Mountain. The climb to the top of Mount Sinai starts at night and takes about 750 steps to reach the summit. It takes around 4 hours. At the summit, you can enjoy the panoramic view of sunrise. After we will descend towards St. Catherine Monastery it takes about 2-3 hours. We will stay around 2 hours on a monastery tour, The monastery has a mosque built in the eleventh century and an Orthodox Greek monastery within its walls that rests a citadel like no other, incredibly rich in important religious and historical structures. Inside the church also are boxes that contain the body of Saint Catherine. In addition, on the other side of the church, you can find the holy valley, which is considered the most holy area in Sinai. In this place, God ordered prophet Moses to “off your shoes because you stand in the holy land”. After that we will go back to the hotel in about 1 PM.

Great experiece and a must do if you are in Sharm el Sheikh

I'd really recommend this excursion. It was a great experience. Especially Mustafa the tour guide was very informative about everything. Any question we had about the pyramids, Sphinx or ancient or contemporary Egyptian culture he answered very extensively. About the tour; the pick up time from our hotel and drop off time including transfers was perfect. The (buffet) lunch was, for Egyptian standarts, good (at least better then our hotel). We also did the (extra paid) Nile cruise which was very nice.

Best way to see a different side of Egypt

We were promptly picked up from our hotel by our kind and professional driver, Waleed in a comfortable van. The 3 hours journey was seamless. Waleed provided us with water and pointed out important landmarks along the way. Our guide in Alexandra was knowledgeable about the history of catacombs and Citadel of Qaitbay. Lunch was at a local restaurant overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. I highly recommend Emo Tours Egypt and will definitely use again.

Excellent experience

Sharm el Sheikh Airport was a bit chaotic with miserable staff. Be prepared to go through security. The bags were thrown through the scanner and belongings fell onto the floor. Apart from that it was a really smooth transfer into Cairo where we were met by our driver who took us to the pyramids. The guide met us there and we had a fantastic day. Take plenty of refreshments as it's a busy full on tour. We had a break in the museum where there is a café

Amazing experience!

Amazing and surreal experience! The pickup at the hotel and to the mountain was flawless. I suggest napping in advance as it is hard to do on the bus. It was a very secure experience. The van drivers were courteous and guides were really great. We were in a group of 45 and they had 3 guides. One in front, one in the back and one in the middle. The trek is tiring but they have a good feel for when to stop the group to rest. Loved the experience and don’t forget to tip them. They are very caring.

The day was wonderful and the experience was spectacular! The guide was amazing, with great sense of humour, polite and friendly. Day trip to Petra from Sharm El Sheikh

The visit to Petra is simply amazing. It is well worth the time spent getting there, however there is no escaping the fact that it is very, very long. Our trip started at 00:45 and ended at about midnight. It was all incredibly efficient though and by and large ran like clockwork. The only delay was when we arrived in Aqaba we were kept on the ferry for about an hour as a customs officer hadn’t turned up. There’s quite a bit of queuing too, you queue to leave Egypt and again to enter Jordan, and then the reverse on the way back. It is mostly queuing outside, it’s still dark (in early Feb) and was quite cold so make sure you have a jacket with you. The guides were great, and our tour bus catered for three languages. I saw previous reviews where people said that people spoke over the guides when it wasn’t their language but that wasn’t our experience. Petra itself is a sight to behold, absolutely stunning! The Treasury, jaw dropping! And the site is huge, we could have done with an entire day as you just can’t see it all in the few hours you are there for. There is a walk of around 45 mins in each direction which is downhill on the way in and therefore uphill on the way out. We are both 65, and quite active, but had no issues at all with the hike. You can take a golf buggy (which I think is $22 cash each, one way. Please check as I’m not too sure, or take a horse). We felt the lunch at a nearby hotel wasn’t great, but as it came at the end of the visit to Petra and we were about to sit on a coach for several hours, it was better not to over eat! Some have complained about the toilet stops being at shopping villages to buy souvenirs, but I couldn’t really see any other options. That said, there was absolutely zero hassle where we stopped, the vendors showed respect and left you alone to browse in peace. And no tips required to use the toilet! Don’t be put off by the journey, it really wasn't too arduous! Petra is an unforgettable experience, the Jordanian people are so friendly and welcoming, it is well, well worth it! I’m not sure why no one offers a two or three day trip though, if they did, we would have done that instead.

Incredible Experience

An incredible day start to finish!! Such an experience, made even better by our guide Syed. He was not only friendly, but so knowledgable and helpful, we couldn't have asked for anyone better to guide us. Seeing Cairo, the Nile and the Pyramids cannot be put into words, its truly special and Im so glad we booked it whilst staying in Sharm El Sheikh, which makes it a long coach journey but worth it. Please do this excursion, you won't regret it.

Excellent trip

The Cairo trip from Sharm was an incredible experience. The coach ride was long, no food included on the ride so I'd advise to take snacks, lunch is included and was lovely. The tour guide spoke numerous languages which was great. The day was long and jam packed with things to do. We visited the antiquities museum which was great to learn about Egypt's history. We learnt how to make papyrus and had an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. The pyramids and great sphinx was a magical experience. Anyone travelling to Egypt this tour is a must. I would say if I was to go again we would fly as my children struggled with her long coach and tiredness. Thanks for a fantastic trip 👍

Once In A Lifetime Experience, That We Would Do Again!

What an amazing day we have had on our trip to Cairo! Hishek was our guide and he was amazing. Really friendly and knowledgeable about Egypt and Cairo. He was really helpful and even when we were on a tight schedule because of the flights we booked, he managed to get everything fitted in for us and made sure we were happy and fed and watered. He even managed to squeeze in some shopping for us. He is a great guide. Our driver was great as well and got us around in style and safely in a hectic place to drive around.
