This was my highlight of Sharm El Sheikh. The ATV ride was very nice, an expedition into the desert as the sun was setting. Followed by a short camel ride and tea at a bedoin camp, and then ATV to another bedoin camp with a dance show (no spoilers!) And some buffet food and drinks, shisha, tea. After this the astronomical guide Mahmoud (apologies if I got the name wrong) showed us the stars and was very informative and passionate teaching about cosmology and astronomy. Two telescopes are viewable, one with an incredible close up view of the moon and its craters. The second was trained on Saturn (this depends on the time of the year) and it was an incredible view of the planet and it's rings! Incredible - I had never seen Saturn through a telescope before let alone in such detail - this, and the angle of the planet and of Saturn its rings relative to earth will always stick in my mind. All in all a great experience. One thing I will say is that you should be prepared to have your picture taken and to be asked to pay some substantial sum for them. I ended up laying 28EUR for photos and 3USD for a printed photo that I didn't request. I could use that money now at the end of my trip, however, I must say that the pictures are great :) worth it. It was a great trip, Joseph especially helpful with a minor point. The quads were great fun, especially in the dark. Food was simple but very tasty and the shows were good. It's a taste of allsorts and a good night, a bit of chaos meets mad max, but we were very well managed off and back onto the bus at the end of the night!

Thanks so much for the feedback. We love sharing that kind of stuff with potential customers so they can feel more confident about choosing us.
ARPI_K, May 2023
The atv ride to and from the different spots was okay.
The vehicles are very run down.
The show and food were less than okay.
CarlosRenato_d, May 2023
The hotel pick up started with one hour delay.
The quad bikes were very old and in bad conditions.
Was an interesting adventure, but I will not do it again...
Sarah_M, Apr 2023
The dance show was impressive but spoilt by overloud music. The quad ride was not in desert. Overall sadly disappointing
Nati_S, Apr 2023
Overall we had a great time. The transportation from the hotel was hectic, as the driver was really reckless, driving like crazy and super unfriendly. After getting there, Quad biking was entertaining, especially during night time. We also enjoyed the camel ride and the stargazing. Spending time at the Beduwin camp was good. The food was OK although it is expected not to use foam disposable plates and forks. The show had ups and downs- the authentic parts were great, but than other parts were just western dancing with western music, so what’s the point?
Staff was mainly helpful.

quads riding, camel riding, shows and star gazing all awesome. excellent experience. highly recommended.

Highly recommend, siso our tour guide and all his team was very professional. They are locals (i believe) very helpful. I can suggest you to bring the tipical egiptian scarf, sunglases, and a coat even if is sunny trust me later you will needed. Quads, camels, beduin teas, and dinner with show. Was very good and tasty food. You will enjoy. Thanks.

Amazing safari with great guides and amazing surroundings. Remember a jacket or sweater in the winter season.
TaraS, Jan 2023
So many people on this excursion and there were many delays as well. Many of the quad bikes didn’t work that well and for safety reasons. Which I understand we all needed to drive at relatively slow pace. Maybe fewer people, and we can go a bit faster would be more efficient and fun.
Rachael_T, Jan 2023
A prompt pick up from the hotel. Guide was informative and helpful.
Just be aware that you will need to tip for everything..camel rides etc. even when you get to the first camp they send round small children to beg which is sad but a way of life I guess. the quad biking was great and well worth it. The evening show isn’t great but they try to entertain you, also the photographers are a pain trying to sell you photos you don’t want.
Luz_I, Dec 2022
Very good communication the guides were all very kind. The food served was delicious. But honestly I wouldnt do this again, because the camels did not seem to be in good condition they screamed a lot and when one was screaming somebody just came to muzzle him which made me very uncomfortable. The way they were held down for people to get on them was by somebody stepping on their leg. I did not enjoy that part at all it was distressing for me to see. I understand it may be cultural so I will not judge but from what I saw I would not do it again or recommend it solely based off that. Everything else was very nice, to be honest but by the end of it I had the images of the distressed camels in my mind and did not fully enjoy the rest of it.

Dear Luz,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and concerns about the trip with us. We always aim to provide an authentic and positive experience with our guests. We are glad that you enjoyed parts of the trip and we will forward your review to our guides but sorry to hear that not all parts of the trip were enjoyable and honestly this is not the first time for us to hear about guests’ concerns regarding the welfare of the camels and we would like to take the time to respond.
Please keep in mind that all trips which take place in Sharm El Sheikh in the Sinai Desert are a cooperation between the individual tour company and the indigenous nomadic Bedouin people. This cooperation is regulated by the government to boost the economy of the Bedouin tribe and work for its people. Camels and tent space for the dinner are only rented by us and the activities are handled by local Bedouin people. We try our best to ensure the best standards, but we must also respect the local Bedouin customs and traditions.
We understand that for our guests, it may seem that the camels are treated harshly and suffer. However, camels are very tough animals with a wilful disposition and are not fully domesticated like other animals, such as horses or donkeys and so it is necessary for the camels’ handlers to give the camels instructions in ways that the camel can follow otherwise, they may not be able to stop a 500kg camel reacting in such a way as to put a guest in a dangerous situation, such as the camel standing up before the guest is safely sitting on it.
Furthermore, a muzzle and reigns are used again to control the animal for the guests’ safety before and during the ride. The camel may bite you. The animal doesn’t become distressed or injured while wearing the safety equipment.
We have frequently communicated our guests concerns to the handlers; however it still needs improvement. We want to promote understanding between our guests and the Bedouin people and to support the local economy in Sinai and hope that continuing tourism to the area will boost the economy and improve standards.
Kind regards,
L.Keating

Buggy riding in the desert was amazing. We rode for a long time, both in daylight and when it was dark which was lots of fun. We also enjoyed the camel rides. Even the food at the camp was yummy. Had a fabulous time.

Poor information as to what was going on or how things would work.
Our pick up time was changed and moved 20 minutes earlier, just 3 hours before the event started, despite us having confirmed the original pick up time the night before. As we had no internet in our rooms or out in town we did not get the message until we were at the reception to be picked up. The guides were visibly annoyed with us, and kept reminding us we were late for most of the trip, despite the delay not really being our fault.
If you expect a feeling of being out in the wild, you will be dissapointed. There are several hundred groups of people on 4x4s going at the same time, just a couple of minutes outside of Sharm, with full view of the city. Feelt like a school day trip.
Started with a 4x4 ride for a couple of minutes. No instructions on how the machines worked, or what we where expected to do. Low speed, on roads in a run down sub urb setting.
Got to camel camp where we got some water and coffe. Camel ride was about 100 meters out of the camp, and then back again. Camel handlers kept nagging about being tipped during the ride. I have no problem giving tips, and do it generously, but prefer to do it afterwards, as a gratitude for good service. Not because of blackmailing and ruining the experience.
Then some more 4x4 to the dinner camp. Food was what you get everywhere on the Sinai peninsula on these kind of activities. Don't expect to be blown away. The show after dinner was a little uninspired. Guy with fire Poi's was the highlight. Other performers felt like school students forced to hold a Zumba class for their class mates.
Guides came and tried to coerce us to give them money during dinner. Again, I'm no stranger to tipping, but preferably after a service has been performed, and not under those circumstances.
The night ended with being cloudy (only night of our week with clouds), making the star gazing a no go, so we left with the 4x4s back to the starting point a little early. Not the fault of the organizers, but a sad ending to the trip.

We are glad that you enjoyed parts of the trip and we will forward your review to our guides and drivers but sorry to hear that not all parts of the trip were enjoyable and honestly the time of your trip was few days before the COP27 which it was announced that it will be a big cancellation for all the desert activities which made all guests to push hard to make their trips as soon as possible. Quad biking was good although we left after dark after taking forever to pick up people and get to the venue. Would have been good to see the sunset. The camel ride was very short probably 100m - which was actually OK for me but I think some people wanted a reasonable ride. Don’t do this if you want a decent camel ride. The Bedouin dinner was pretty ordinary. All in all we signed for quad biking and that part was good.

Good trip, well organised & lots of fun.
The only negatives were some of the stops were just a little too long & the camel ride was walking across the path and back again.
Take sterling or euros for tips and pics - they will accept Egyptian pounds but prefer other currencies.

I really enjoyed this tour. The desert among the rocky mountains is such a unique place. Ibrahim was a great tour guide, who made me feel safe, even if I felt a bit nervous about the quad bikes. The only issue - they don't really catter for dietary requirements, although there was some food without meat that I could have.

Rickety taxi arrived with 2 people already in it, so very crammed trip to site. No COVID restrictions! You have to go through the wall around Sharm to get to the excursion which was manned by many police. If you’re not aware it’s going to happen, it was quite frightening. Got into the desert area…which is really a theme park type place with loads of the same tours going on. No helmet is provided. First stop was in an area that might have been interesting if anyone had said anything about it. There were some rock formations which looked like they might have some history but nothing was mentioned. Next stop…a fake Bedouin village. No one said what was happening. In fact, this area was for people who wanted to do the camel ride. This may have been chargeable, but no one spoke to us about it so I’ve no idea. We sat around doing nothing. Nothing to look at. Small cup of tea provided but any other drinks, including water were payable at this stop. Then we went onto another fake Bedouin camp which was like a disco. Really loud techno type music with everywhere lit up with multicolored electric string lights. More sitting around doing nothing with no idea what was going on. We were given a small bottle of water here. Watched the bread making display. But it was in the dark so not easy to see. People were invited to try making the flatbreads which were then cooked and passed round. Again, no thought to hygiene at all, let alone COVID. Dinner was good…although the styrofoam plate and plastic spoon didn’t feel very authentic! No one had mentioned a bathroom, but there is one there…no paper or sanitizer. Finally the events that are the reason it got 2 stars and not zero! Star gazing and the quad bike trip back in the dark. Both were brilliant.
It’s such a shame because with just a bit of effort, this could be a great tour. But it’s not even remotely authentic, involved lots of sitting around doing nothing and lacked communication or any nod to safety. Be nice to learn something about Bedouin life and the natural area which would have made a huge difference with little effort. In no way should it be marketed as a Bedouin experience because it just wasn’t.

One of the best tours that I had in Sharm! From pick up to drop off everyone was professional and helpful. Be prepared to be on the ATVs riding across desert/sand for long stretches of time - some people were not prepared in dress or on how physically taxing the ride can be. The astrology lesson, riding the camels and the dinner and show were awesome. Everyone was spread out to be compliant with COVID standards and the food was well cooked/prepared. Bring extra clothes to keep warm, head wrap to keep the sand off your face, clear eye protection since you will be riding in the dark, money for pictures, but other then that, I would highly recommend this experience!

Overall a very good tour - the quads are used to get you from one element of the trip to the next. It’s bumpy out there on the compacted sand, so beware if you have a bad back or limbs.
- expect to be asked for tips at every stage of the tour
- if you don’t have a scarf or clear glasses/eyewear then you’ll expect to pay extra for them before you set off - they are needed as it’s very dusty on the quads
- take a jacket or hoodie - it gets cold in the evening desert
- it did feel a bit manufactured at points, but go with it
Gerda_G, Dec 2021
It was an exciting trip in the desert. Enjoyed that we went to all the attractions on quads which made the driving time longer and the whole experience really fun. Camel ride was short but that was expected as it's everywhere like that, it was still enjoyable. Food at the end of the trip was really delicious. Regarding the show, I would not put it as a part of the trip as it was a few minutes of one-guy-fire-show and few minutes of some sort of dancing. It was more of a something happening on the side without any announcement (could easily miss) than a show. Nevertheless, the whole trip was good, would recommend.

An amazing trip from start to finish. Loved the quads, the meal was lovely and the show was great. The star gazing through the telescope was out of this world ;)
Salatchee_V, Oct 2021
Ibrahim Ayesha was such a wonderful guide. The entire trip was done by quad bike and as I am afraid of this due to an accident he took me on the back and made me feel so comfortable the entire trip. The both of Ibrahim as tour guides were wonderful. The star gazing was amazing as was the food sitting around the fire watching the Bedouin bread making then eating bbq. One feels lost in this exquisite off the beaten path experience with just the valley and yourself. Amazing well worth the price
