This experience was...
This experience was really nice and I totally recommend. I felt we didn’t really know the planning for the day so here is a big overview: - you will take a bus to Xunantunich (15min drive) and visit the site for about 2h - you will then go on another drive for 1h30 to the caves - once there, you will have lunch (homemade lunch, really nice), be able to change into swimsuits and leave for the caves (be sure to take water shoes and a t shirt that can go into water) - you will walk for about 25min with a tube both in forest and water and then go in the tube once in the cave - the cave tubbing is really nice and relaxing - then you go back to the changing rooms before jumping in the bus for the way back I didnt really know that before doing the tour but don’t forget walking shoes for Xunantunich visit (with sun cream) and water shoes and another t shirt for the cave tubing (shoes that you are confortable walking with and that can go into water). Enjoy !!

Best part of Belize trip
This was the best part of our whole trip to Belize! Giovanni was punctual and knowledgeable. He is also an amazing cook— our lunch on the pontoon was delicious! We enjoyed starting our day at the Mayan ruins before heading to the pontoons on the river. The whole day was more beautiful than we could have imagined! We enjoyed our time so much that we added on a sunset horseback ride with Roberto at their family’s property in the jungle. Wish we could relive this day again!!!

Giovanni Goes the Extra Mile!!
My husband and I joined Giovanni on the jungle and waterfall excursion on his pontoon boat. First I have to say that he was very personable and had a great sense of humor. During the trip we saw howler monkeys, crocodiles and a whole wide variety of birds including toucans! To begin we went on a short hike to a beautiful waterfall and swam in a crystal clear pool. From there we headed upriver as he prepared lunch aboard the boat. We then made it to a second site and docked while eating lunch directly in front of a triple waterfall! After lunch we were able to dive off the second story of the boat into the deep pools beneath the waterfalls. Giovanni even climbed up the rocks and jumped off to join us! We then were off to make a quick stop to see the dam that creates electric power for much of Belize. Next was the final waterfall of the day with calcium rich pools and crystal clear water complete with tiny fish that swam all around us. My husband and I both thought the trip was amazing and well worth making a day out of. Giovanni really knew the area having grown up on the very piece of land we launched from. He knew a lot of the cultural history of the waterways and was great at helping us imagine the significance the river highway system provided to inhabitants over time. We would both recommend checking this out and give it a solid 10 stars. Thanks Giovanni!

Wow!! This was a great experience
We had a wonderful time at ATM and Xunantunich. I went with my two teenage daughters and they absolutley loved it. The adventure of swimming through caves, climbling, squeezing through rock formations and seeing the history in the caves was fantastic. We got to see actual remains and potery left behind that are hundreds of years old. Our cave guide was Hector who was really good and explained things in detail. My girls and I learnt a lot of history. After the cave tour, we had a lunch and then headed off to the Xunantunich Mayan ruin site. Our guide Pedro was also really great and spent the day with us. Thank you Pedro and Hector for an unforgettable day!!!!!!
