What are people saying about Salzburg

Applause from Utah!
What a lovely experience. Kylie was very knowledgeable and friendly and it was amazing to watch the driver (Evo/Ivo) maneuver that big bus into narrow places. They made the experience comfortable and they gave us the information we needed to get the most out of our tour. We will tell all of our family and friends about this wonderful memory - not to be missed!

New dessert recipe from Salzburg
This was one of the highlights of the trip we made to Europe. The cooking class was a great way to learn how Streudel is made and nockrel! Highly recommend this excursion if you're in Salzburg. The instructor and assistant were extremely helpful which made it a wonderful experience.

A day well spent
The salt mines were a pleasant surprise. I had no idea how interesting they were. Though they caught us VIPs, I felt like an outsider because I did not speak German. The real bonus was the historical knowledge of our guide. He was able to show us things about Hitler and the Nazi party that I have never heard before. By itself, that was a tour worth doing. The sound of music tour was fun, but since I don’t know all of the words to the songs, it was not my favorite. Overall, it was a great way to experience Salzburg.

This is two separate...
This is two separate tours which means you may definitely have some overlap when traveling between destinations. Knowing that, I love the experience. Birgit was an amazing guide for the SOM tour. She was very knowledgeable and made the trip so much fun! Mirko was our tour guide for Halstatt and everything ran smoothly so that we had more than enough time in Halstatt as well as some sights along the way. Both Mondsee and Halstatt had a beautiful lake. Halstatt was definitely best in the morning when crowds are low.

While Salzburg has plenty to offer visitors, it's also a great base for exploring the natural features and castles of the Austrian and Bavarian Alps. Organized Salzburg day trips make it easy to see spots inaccessible by public transportation. You can head out to the Salzkammergut lake district to see sites made famous by The Sound of Music, deepen your understanding of World War II history with a trip to the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), which was initially a Nazi meeting spot, or even check out Eisriesenwelt, the world’s largest ice cave.
