Great tour! At our tour guides recommendation, we choose to do the five fingers option and we are so glad we did! Soooo beautiful! Definitely eat at the restaurant on top- food was excellent. I only wished there was a little more time in Hallstatt.

It’s the best way to see the countryside. Overall a good trip but for I’d have liked more information about the area. Driver seemed too rushed and not very accommodating but he did show us a couple of great places. Overall very worth it as compared to group tours where you can’t really see the views over the heads of other travelers.

This was such a fantastic tour—we absolutely loved every minute of it. It’s a flexible tour that takes the weather and your interests into account. After being picked up, we made a plan with Carlos for what our day would look like. After a coffee stop in Bad Ischl and a photo stop at Wolfgangsee Lake, we arrived in Hallstatt and had some free time to wander the charming streets and enjoy lunch. What a beautiful village! Carlos also arranged for us to visit the Salzwelten salt mine, which was fantastic. The tour was not only informative but also entertaining. The way they’ve designed it is impressive. A highlight of the day was witnessing light snowfall, which made the experience even more magical. The day truly couldn’t have gotten any better. Thank you, Carlos, for a wonderful day and for the dinner suggestion—we were surprised by the dessert when it arrived!

We had the best day with our guide Michael Hallstatt! The weather was perfect. He took us past some beautiful scenery and photo ops then we went to 5 Fingers which was amazing. You can spend hours there- lots of walking though so if that is not your thing you may want to rethink that stop. Hallstatt was picture perfect and we had a fabulous lunch at a restaurant on the lake - Michael got us a VIP seat right in the dock of the lake. Definitely worth the money to have a private tour. We did not have the extra guide and it was fine. Michael was so friendly knowledgeable and funny! Made the trip that much better!

Our guide, Carlos, was fantastic. He has tremendous knowledge of the area and made some excellent recommendations. We went to the Salt Mine and had a great time sliding down their slides. Halstatt was beautiful. I would take the electric boat on the lake if you have time. Just a great day all around.

The entire experience was excellent! The views are amazing. The town is quaint and the salt mine is a do not miss experience! Michael, our tour guide, was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and patient. He knows every detail and tells great stories.
The salt mine is a unique experience. 300 feet down into an active salt mine you will learn the history of salt discovery and production. There are even a couple slides you can ride as the old miners did back in the day! The funicular to the mine gives you a full view of Hallstatt and the area. Very beautiful especially when looking from above down.
Our driver, Luciano, did a good job was also entertaining. Even more fun when Michael and Luciano bantered with us. Feel like they are our friends now!

I was so happy to splurge on a private driver Michael Toth who took for an 8 hr. day to Hallstatt with stops made along the way and back. We would never have known about or seen all the beautiful places and facts about where we visited. Michael was worth every dollar. With such a surprise ending I got my bucket list and many great tears.

I found this amazing adventure and scheduled it as a birthday gift for my husband. My mother in law, my husband and I loved the tour. Our tour guy Michael was amazing and so was our driver. Michael is knowledgeable and experienced. Thank you for helping me making the best birthday gift! If you are wanting to visit Hallstatt you should consider this tour. Is well worth it! Michael will take you around areas that you won’t find on your own if you go by yourself.

This was the best tour I have taken thus far! We were very lucky that the weather was great, even though the forecast was rain. So we were able to take many pictures of the absolutely magnificent views - from the scenic drive, to post-card-perfect Hallstatt, to the "hills are alive" mountains of Dachstein and the glaciers and lake views at Gosau. Our guide, Luciano, was so warm and friendly. He went out of his way to accommodate the seniors and child in our group. He was also very knowledgeable. If I could, I would give this tour 10 stars!

Our trip was actually on Dec 20th, 2017. Sorry for my delay in reviewing since we were still on our vacation. The trip was amazing, salt mining was very fun, Gosausee was stunning, and Hallstatt was breathtaking. We were lucky to have Carlos as our tour guide. He was funny and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this trip and you will be lucky if Carlos is your tour guide.

So glad that we decided to do this tour to Hallstatt!!! We booked this private tour with a party of three that included my husband, my mother and me. With my mother having mobility issues, we opted for this private tour for flexibility to tour at our on pace. Thomasdriver and Johann tour guide did not disappoint. I've been on many tours and enjoy travelling. This tour was the best tour that I have ever been on. Johann was full of knowledge on the Austrian Lake District and on the history of the people of this region. Johann never left our side throughout the tour and was very attentive to adjust the tour as needed for my mom. I booked the trip for Halstatt and have to admit that our last stop in Gosausee was the most memorable. Gosausee was quiet and peaceful. From the moment we left Salzburg, there was jawdropping lake/mountain backdrops that kept us looking out the windows. This tour is not to be missed, it is worth EVERY DIME. Request Thomas and Johann and you will be pleased.

El entorno de la excursion es perfecto, ademas en esta época con todo nevado estaba precioso, parecía de cuento. Luciano nuestro guia/conductor excelente, en todo momento se adapto a nuestras necesidades, dándonos opciones que hacer según iba avanzando la excursion. Estuvimos charlando con el durante todo el día mientras nos daba explicaciones de los sitios a los que íbamos. La conducción muy suave y el coche impecable y muy cómodo, con buena musica y temperatura. Experiencia muy muy recomendable.
