Don't miss out - book this tour!
We had an amazing experience on this tour. We were a group of three and we had our own driver who took us around the island in a nice Toyota 4Runner, so that we could see the monkeys, sloths and macaws, and visit the beach afterward. It was absolutely perfect.

Fun for the Whole Family!
My family and I had an amazing time! We loved seeing the sloths, monkeys, and birds. You can't hold the sloths, however you can get close for pictures. We then traveled to the most relaxing, beautiful beach where we were given plenty of time to soak up the sun. Our guide was extremely informative, providing background on Roatan. I would absolutely recommend this excursion.

April snorkling trip.
My wife and I had a wonderful time. We got picked up at our hotel by Jake, who was wonderful and knowledgeable. We went snorking at three separate locations, that were all beautiful. The reef was magnificent and the water was warm. You will have a terrific time. We finished our trip at Brady's Cay. They served terrific onion rings and beer.

Everything included
Cesia was amazing and so knowledgeable. She shared a lot about her homeland and answered so many questions. She and the driver were so patient with all of us and ensured that we all were able to spend ample time at each spot while still getting us to the ships in plenty of time. We didn’t get much interaction with the sloth, but that is because of the new law that sloths are not to be held due to their susceptibility to germs and getting sick. However, the monkeys and the macaw were fun and interacted well with the group. I do not drink so I wasn’t sure about the rum factory. However, the rum cakes were delicious - so much so that I had to buy some. The chocolate was delicious, but we didn’t dare buy any to take home for fear that they would melt before making it back to the ships. All in all, this was a fabulous experience. Everything was covered by the excursion feed except for the tips. We would highly recommend. Thank you, Cesia for such a great time.

We had a lot of fun! ...
We had a lot of fun! Jenny was our private driver for the morning. She took us to the sloth/monkey sanctuary where we took a tour with a group. The guides were very knowledgable and getting up close with the animals was fun. The snorkeling was also fun and well organized. The only drawback was I tried to reach out to the company to confirm the start time of the tour and didn't hear back but we were able to find the guide with the sign pretty easily.

Terrific tour
My wife and I had a wonderful time. Our driver, his name wasJordan, was terrific. He grew up on the island and was very down to earth, courteous and knowledgeable. He took us to the iguana park, the butterfly garden and a botanical garden. This tour company is terrific. We got a very personal tour of the island. It was worth every penny. Thanks Jordan.

Super Fun Day! But let me tell you about this guy DALE!!!!!
Ok, So this specific excursion is really two parts. The activities i.e., zip line, animal sanctuary, rum tasting & Your guide that gets you from place to place who is actually your "Babysitter". Let's talk about the activities first. Animal sanctuary: We were handed off to Jonathan, who was bright, charasmatic, hiliarious. He walked us through and explained each animal in detail. Great dude. Made sure that our entire group was able to hold what we could and gave us an opportunity to snag a photo. We had a family in our group with kids that kept trying to jump in and hog time but he nipped that in the bud quickly. The monkeys were amazing and my daughter was over then moon as one of them perched on her shoulder. We all got plety of opportunity to hold and interact with them. The parrots are beautiful and friendly. We got to hold them as well and get some photos. There were guinea pigs that was all passed around that were so sweet. Now the sloths were a different story. I see in some of the photos that we were able to hold and interact with them which is what I was super excited about but sadly we were not allowed to touch them. Apparently they dont do that here anymore due to the lotions and sunscreens that were making them sick. It was a bummer as there are other locations that allow everyone to hold them but I understand the concern. I would not have been opposed to throwing on a towel or something that would have allowed me an opportunity to hold them. The zipline adventure: This was a bit hectic. They put you in the back of a truck where you are literally sitting on top of one another no safety belts and open air. Then drive you up this super steep rutted out dirt path. This was by far the scariest part of the day. Once we reached the top and unloaded there were about 20 of us total. We were given a 3 minute safety breif as a few of the guides took off down the first zip line to get set up. Then it was like an assembly line of zipping. One ofter another we launched off the deck. Fun?? Absolutely! We did feel a bit rushed though. But it was understandble. There were A LOT of people there that day. The guides were safe and made sure we were taken care of and taught us how to hang upside down and do flips which made for some great pics. I have to point out one of the guides, Louis, super funny and was always helping me stop before I slammed into the tree. The entire Zip line experience took about an hour and had a total of 16-17 lines. My entire family had a blast! Rum & Chocolate making "Factories". These are not really factories. They are gift shops with very tiny things to taste and plenty to buy. Not much more to say on those. They were both underwhelming and a bit mislabelled in the excursion details. NOW, onto the Guide or babysitter. I read the reviews prior to booking this and there were recommendations as to whom to request as your guide. Forget all of them... Let me tell you about this young man Dale. Picked us up at a really convinient pick up point just outside of port. Dale had a huge smile on his face and welcomed up to the island. We walked down to his vehicle (immaculate, cold ac, very comfy) getting to know eachother. From the pick up to the zipline/animal sanctuary Dale gave us an in depth look into Roatan culture and history. He included aspects of his childhood and family lineage that made it such a wonderful experience. As the tour continued throughout the day he answered all of our stupid questions and we learned so many things about life of this island including how incredibly large the families are here, and how the school systems are run, right down to growing up on this island and the wonderful sense of community that comes with it. Dale made a few unsceduled stops so I could by some tshirts and took us to a coffee making place called Bad Ass Java that offered some killer coffee and some sweet photo ops off the back deck. Dale took group photos of us at every stop and even made sure we stopped at the big Roatan sign when it wasnt packed to snap a few pics of us. He even wanted a group photo with all of us on his phone. I told Dale I was selling the house back home, moving down here and we were gonna by a fishing charter boat. He was DOWN!!! By the end of the tour we felt like family. WHich was a great feeling being in a place that was so forgeign to us. The BEST part??? My 12 year old and my 13 year old said that DALE was the best part of the day... Not the monkeys, not the ziplines... The owners/operators need to take a long hard look because this guy is a diamond and made this day one that we will remember forever!

Amazing chance to explore...
Amazing chance to explore Roatan with a local. Angel was amazing telling us about the area, sharing his story and offering recommendations.
The staff at all 3 stops were so, friendly and helpful.
Angel was great to work with our timelines to ensure we had time to get back to boat at our pace.

Accommodating and Fun Time!
Our driver Christian was so kind and informative, telling us facts about the island while driving us to our locations. Seeing and holding the animals was so fun, they are so friendly and gentle. Afterwards our driver told us about a beach and after hearing him talk about it we decided to do the beach instead of the chocolate factory, the beach was an additional $25 per person but the we were brought to a beach front resort with plenty of lounge chairs and the softest sand and clearest water!!! It was so beautiful and the perfect day for the beach. On the drive back to our Cruise Ship our driver stopped at a stand on the side of the road to have us try a local food — it was DELICIOUS. We also mentioned that we wanted to try some coffee and he took us to a small cafe and we had the best coffee. Overall everything was great, our driver was super accommodating and helped make the best of our time on the island

Roatan with Elda
Elda was a perfect driver/guide for our adventure. One lady in our group uses a walker and Elda was so helpful loading and unloading it for her. The sloth and monkey tour was interesting and fun. We enjoyed the chocolate and rum factories as well. Lunch at a local restaurant, shopping in handcrafted shops were icing on the cake! Elda gave us a great history lesson on the island and pointed out areas of interest as we drove.

Amazing experience
Where do I start. Omar our guide was FANTASTIC!!!! He was very personable had great knowledge of the island, he also answered every question I asked about his culture. The monkeys were probably the best of our tour. They climb all over you as the instructor is putting peanuts on you head.
Highly recommend this tour of the island you will not be disappointed.
ALSO DONT FORGET TO ASK FOR OMAR

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful time on this tour and would recommend it to anyone! Allan was so kind and helpful and really went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our time on Roatan. The sloth and monkey preserve was amazing—one of the highlights of our trip—the beach was beautiful, and the snorkeling was great. Having a private tour guide made traveling with young kids easier than going on a large tour because we could go at our own pace!

Monkeys and parrots and sloths—oh my! If a wildlife-viewing adventure appears on your wish list, you can’t go wrong with Roatan excursions that get you up close and personal with the animals that call this island off the coast of Honduras home. Active adventures abound at this popular cruise port, from ATV rides to jungle ziplines to snorkel cruises on the crystal-clear Caribbean Sea. In fact, Roatan sits near the Mesoamerican Reef, the second-largest barrier reef system in the world, so it’s teeming with colorful marine life, including starfish and turtles.
