Amazing trip to the Hill of the crosses
We had an excellent trip to the Hill of Crosses with Janis. The whole experience was very well organised, comfortable, and informative from start to finish. Janis was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable, sharing interesting history and local insights throughout the journey. The Hill of Crosses itself was a truly unique and memorable place to visit, and we appreciated having plenty of time to explore and take everything in. Janis made the trip enjoyable and relaxed, and his helpfulness and enthusiasm really added to the experience. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area.

Stunning from start to finish
Our Tour guide was very polite, funny and extremely knowledgeable about Latvia. There were regular opportunities for a bathroom break throughout the journey so if you need to take regular trips to the bathroom this trip would be for you. We started by seeing the Hill of Crosses in Lithuania, a stunning location with hundreds of thousands of crosses situated on two hills. The guide gave us a quick overview of the history of the hills and took photos (for those who wanted it). We then went to Rundale Palace, which was faithfully restored after Latvia's independence from the soviet union (a nice touch is the room that shows you how the rooms looked when they started, the contrast is incredible). This was also where we got lunch and saw the stunning french-style garden afterwards. After this we went to Bauska Castle, where we climbed up the tower to see the picturesque surroundings of the Bauska town (along with the history of the tower). Overall the trip started at 8 and finished around 5 / half 5, and is must do for those travelling to Riga or Vilnius.

Great mini-intro to Latvia
We enjoyed a very interesting day trip with Normand in December 2025. We wanted to see a bit of the country beyond Riga in the short time we had and this was perfect. Normand kindly answered all our many questions about the country and current society. He was flexible and let us prioritize the sites we were most interested in. He made our day very pleasant.

Get out of the city!
Edĩte was an excellent guide! She was knowledgeable about the sites and history of Riga and Latvia. The driver was courteous. The sites themselves were also interesting. You get out of Riga see the surrounding suburbs and landscape. We got to stop for coffee before exploring the castle at Sigulda, then stopped by the biggest cave in Latvia (not that big, but interesting folklore), and hiked to Turkish to explore. On the way back, we stopped at lunch at the cat bistro which was delicious.
