What are people saying about Queenstown

Superb experience
The tour guide Tristen or Kristen (not entirely sure what was his name) made the tour so so special. Even if you're not a LOTR fan, you'll be one or become motivated to atleast watch the movies after his in depth information and knowledge on LOTR. I don't know whether I'm more happy with him or with the beauty of Glenorchy! All I can say is that he made the tour so special and beautiful. We were very very happy with the tour.

3 Generations on Tour
It was a chilly but beautiful experience - the cruise, dinner and an education on sheep shearing. We were a party of 10, 3 generations and the kids and grandkids had fun. The food was excellent- the variety sumptuous. I would highly recommend this to big families going on tour.

Lovely modern cruise, not...
Lovely modern cruise, not as charming as TSS Earnslaw but comfortable and fast.
The farm tour was great, so many cute animals to pat, lovely place to walk around and take photos!
Afternoon tea was surprisingly good, can't get enough of the deserts!
Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic trip, highly recommend~
This is the second time I traveled with Cheeky Kiwi to Mount Cook (last time was 4 years ago)~ Fantastic trip again, did not disappoint~ Jessica, our tour guide, was super knowledgeable and fun, kept the whole trip interesting~ we had 3 hours in the breathtaking national park, the stops on the road were entertaining too. We had a wonderful day.

Absolute 10/10 with Altitude Tours!
If you are looking to experience Milford Sound without the stress of driving the winding roads yourself, do yourself a favour and book with Altitude Tours. From start to finish, the entire day was seamless, comfortable, and spectacularly beautiful.
We traveled in a premium, modern Mercedes minibus which made a massive difference for a long day of driving. The large windows were perfect for taking in the dramatic landscapes, and the smaller group size felt incredibly personal—miles away from those massive, crowded tour buses.
A massive, special shout-out goes to our amazing tour guide, Katy. She truly made the trip unforgettable. Katy is an absolute gem—incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and her storytelling brought the history and geography of the region to life. She timed all the must-see stops perfectly so we missed the big crowds. She was also very considerate about scheduling toilet breaks, and we never felt rushed during the stops. A bonus experience happened when she spotted a group of Kea on the way back. She made a quick stop so we could safely get up close and watch these cheeky, intelligent alpine parrots check out the bus—an absolute highlight of the trip!
The cruise itself through the fiord was breathtaking, getting us right up close to crashing waterfalls. The best surprise of all was a pod of dolphins joining us alongside the boat, leaping through the wake.
If you're on the fence about which company to choose, go with Altitude Tours and cross your fingers that you get Katy as your guide. Couldn't recommend them more highly!

Ash was our guide. He is...
Ash was our guide. He is a knowledgeable guide.
We went to Glenorchy and stopped for a short walk along the way to enjoy the view and to take some photos.
We had a picnic lunch in Paradise, we were provided with some cheese toast, fruit and even ginger desert.
It was a pleasant and sunny day.

Wonderful scenic tour of Queenstown!!
Great experience! Tour narrator (and Captain) Dan was insightful and kept the tour entertaining. Very scenic and informative tour! Refreshments available for purchase on the tour was a plus. Captain Dan took pictures of those wanting a scenic photo, as well as allowed a select few to steer the boat. Overall, a wonderful tour and experience!! Highly recommend!!

Flying high in Queenstown
This was a ton of fun. We did all 6 ziplines. 3 were shorter and another 3 longer. Wide variety of people in the group and the guides, Ava and Steve, were great! Note that there is a 25 downhill walk with quite a few steep steps and ruggis terrain, so be careful if you have any movement concerns (they do offer a partial car ride as an alt).

We just did the return...
We just did the return trip across Lake Walatipu without visiting Walter Peak Farm. The trip allowed great views of the lake and surrounding mountains, but the best bit was the atmosphere of the old steamer. You could even go below and check out the workings of the steam engine. Great experience.

Great!
Raghav was very good and imparted his vast knowledge of the area. He also made sure people had a good time and kept people going. Mt. Cook and the Tasman Glacier were amazing, as was Lake Pukaki. If you are able, book a helicopter tour onto Tasman Glacier if you can. Amazing views!

Milford Sound Day Tour with Scenic Cruise
An absolutely unforgettable experience from start to finish. The journey from Queenstown to Milford Sound was just as breathtaking as the destination itself, with stunning scenery at every turn. The scenic cruise was incredible — peaceful, majestic, and truly humbling.
A special mention to our bus driver, who was fantastic. He was caring, attentive, and made everyone feel safe and comfortable throughout the long day. His knowledge, kindness, and genuine care for passengers really stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Queenstown — a must-do experience in New Zealand.

Wine time everytime
Had such a good day on this tour. The bus was easy to find, the driver was friendly and the whole vibe was relaxed. We got to hop on and off without any rush, and each winery had its own charm. Great views, great wine, great energy. Perfect way to spend an afternoon in Queenstown.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Queenstown is known as New Zealand's adventure capital for a reason: The range of outdoor activities in Queenstown for travelers is as epic as its mountainous landscape. Thrill-seekers can participate in sports at the more extreme end of the spectrum—such as leaping into a gorge with just a bungee cord attached to your legs—while outdoor enthusiasts who prefer more gentle activities are catered to, too. Cruise the lake, take to the air on a scenic flight, take a hike, among other options.
