Not perfect but worth the money
Our experience was enhanced due to the audio tour. I appreciated the gps feature and info on each point of interest. I took away one star because the information provided was basic and somewhat uninteresting.

Our guided tour through...
Our guided tour through Petrified Forest National Park turned out to be an amazing and very memorable experience. What made it even more special was that the tour ended up being just my wife and me, which made it feel like a private adventure through one of the most unique landscapes in the country. 🌄🪨
Our guide did an outstanding job from start to finish. He kept the tour fun and exciting while sharing a huge amount of knowledge about the park. We learned so much about how the petrified wood formed millions of years ago and how the colorful fossilized logs scattered across the landscape came to be. Seeing it in person while hearing the story behind it made the entire place even more fascinating.
Because it was just the two of us, the tour felt very personal and relaxed. Our guide was extremely patient and took the time to answer every question we had. He never rushed us and made sure we really understood the geology, history, and significance of what we were seeing.
One of the highlights was when he showed us ancient pictographs and explained their meaning and the history of the Native American peoples who once lived in the region. Learning about their culture and connection to the land added an incredible historical layer to the experience. 📜
Overall, it was an unforgettable tour. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the park. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time, and the fact that it was just my wife and me made the whole experience even more special. If you’re visiting Petrified Forest National Park, I highly recommend taking a guided tour—you’ll learn a ton

Just do it
We bought this experience on a whim as we were driving through the area. We didn't have time for hiking so this was a great alternative. Loved all the facts and if you let it have access to your location while driving through, the stories are right on time.

Educational and entertaining
The app worked well except it kept cutting out at times while we were driving to the next stop and often repeated stories. We enjoyed all the information. It made our tour of Petrified Forest National very meaningful.

Highly recommend this!
Very helpful and informative. We stopped places we would not have if it weren’t for the guide! Places that don’t appear to be of interest respectfully are!

Petrified Forest Self-Driving Tour was a success
We loved the back stories and history of the stops on this tour. It was easy to follow. Only problem was if we backtracked, I couldn't figure out how to get our 'guide' to catch up to where we actually were. But it was easy enough to manually choose the stops. We will look at these tours for other vacation spots!

So easy to stop and sightsee without worrying about losing place on program.
Great way to view the park at your leisure.
The gps keeps you on track but allows to stop as much or as little as you want. Will use again and definitely recommend to others.

We were able to cover the entire park without missing any sights
Crystal Forest was our favorite walk. We were able to see crystals and an abundant view of the petrified wood up close.
