Despite a shaky start (due to very poor communication from the tour operator) the tour itself was very good. This is due to our guide Lim who was so knowledgeable and interesting and we learnt so much about the history of Penang. He couldn’t do enough for us and was a lovely man and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lim deserves 5 stars but I have to give 4 due to the tour operators lack of communication.

There was a 3-hr tour. It was kind of hurry because on the way to the points of attractions, we stopped by the shopping area first before we were headed to the main attractions. By the time we arrived to the last destination we didn’t have enough time at the Penang Hill for viewing because it was packed with tourists and we ran out time. So we went up and got down right away to finish the tour. It will be great if the shopping time can cut down or put at the end.

Our half day tour with Muhammad was great. We like to “tour” quickly. He not only took us to various sights, but told us interesting tidbits of information as he drove us through the city.
Georgetown, Penang is not only beautiful but very interesting.
I highly recommend booking this tour. When it is a private tour, you can see as much or as little as you choose. I would go back and see other things that the city has to offer. We will be back!

A half day tour to the Chinese temple Kek Lok Si and Penang Hill.
Pick up at our hotel in GeorgeTown. On the way out three short stops were added to the tour:
# 1. A batik shop
# 2. A coffee and chocolate shop
# 3. A mosque
A ride on the funicular railway to the top of Penang Hill.
Return to George Town and drop off at our hotel.
We had a good experience.

This was a great tour! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the top of Penang Hill even though it was in the clouds and there was no view.
Our guide, Carol, was excellent. She gave us an overview of the history and culture of the area as we drove and pointed out landmarks. She walked with us through the Kek See Lok temple pointing out various architectural details and the various alterations done over the years as well as the customs. On our way back to the hotel, Carol gave us a quick tour of the city again pointing out significant features. She was a wonderful guide!!

A very interesting tour, which gets you around Georgetown to see two of the key historic sites. Mohamed, our guide was very helpful and informative. A very pleasant person, who told us about the history of Georgetown as we travelled. Communication throughout was excellent.

Lovely guy made it extra special for us gave us some great context and information about Penang, very relaxed and did not feel rushed at all. Great itinerary for couples or families as everything is relatively easy. I would highly recommend Mohamed as a tour guide and we had a fun day.

There are very easy ways to reach the temple by elevator and buggy. Penang hill gives fabulous views of the city. Well worth buying the fast track ticket

Angchinboon was a brilliant tour guide. He was so knowledgeable and he made the tour so interesting. We especially enjoyed going up to Penang Hill on the train. The views were spectacular!

Penang Hill is a beautifully serene environment to experience. It was quite foggy on the day I went. I was still able to capture a panoramic view of the streets of Malacca and Georgetown at the Kek Lok Si Temple. The driver is happily accommodating.

Guide was nice, took us water and snacks.
Unfortunately, he was more of a taxi driver than a tour guide.
He got out of the car and let us go around ourselves. We could easily have done that ourselves at the price.
Penang Hill we didn't do because it would be 2h to queue and we would have to book extra FastLane. Because it was foggy, it didn't pay off
