Ms. Goh is a gentle and attentive guide who put me at ease during my first trip traveling with my parents. She adapted the itinerary based on the weather and our wishes (we were eager to try local durian!), and gave detailed explanations of the differences between the temples we visited. We came away having learned so much. Highly recommend for anyone interested in local culture — Ms. Goh is always happy to answer questions!

Booked a private 4 hour flexible tour.
It was fantastic Anson our driver guide was waiting for us and took us to ALL the important sites we wanted to visit before the crowds.
Penang is an amazing place to visit well worth the trip.

We had a great day in Penang. Law was a great guide who was very knowledgeable and flexible. He showed us everything we wanted to see, gave us the history, and then allowed us to stop here and there for shopping and local food - yummmm!! We highly recommend Law for any tour in Penang.

it was a rainny daily and not much you can do. Not really enjoy with the tour and feel the tour guide try to finish the tour ASAP. Recommend us to pay extra $100 to the Express Check-in in the Penang Hill train ticket.

Hi Mr Cheng. So sorry to know that you did not enjoy your tour. In a 4-hours tour, you will have minimal time on couple of attractions (2 to 3). On tour day, your tour guide tried to go to more attractions: namely 1) Chew Jetty 2) Street Art 3) Pinang Peranakan Mansion and 4) Penang Hill. This was out of norm and since there were 4 attractions, maybe that was why you may feel hurried. Furthermore, with your hotel out at Tanjung Bungah, you lost 20 minutes one way commute to George Town. Your tour day was on a Saturday, and Penang Hill was always crowded on weekend, hence the tour guide recommended to buy express lane due to time management. For the record, express lane round trip cost only RM80/pax (around USD17/pax) and not USD100. All this ticket was paid to Penang Hill and stated on the ticket/receipt. My tour guide informed me that your wife decided to go with the express tickets.

Jeff our tour guide was excellent and made sure we saw as much as possible during our time on the tour. He fast tracked us up Penang Hill and made sure we had the best seats on the funicular. He even took us on a short was back through George Town to see the street art and Armenian street and its history. Jeff is an experienced guide and looks after his group during the tour to give an overall experience of the city. He also makes sure you get back on time for your cruise.

Got to see all the major sites in the downtown area. Tomorrow is a Hindu holiday, we went to the temple area to see the pre-festival, very colorful. Our guide Goh provided us with some local fruit and tea snacks. We enjoyed our 4 hr tour, Goh provided details for each site we visited and Penang history.

A good outline of Georgetown, however a bit rushed I thought, would have been better to have slowed it down, perhaps supply water, it was very hot and maybe allow time for photos and reflection.

We had a fantastic afternoon exploring Penang with Jeff as our guide and driver. We visited reclining Buddha, Burmese temple, Penang Hill (get the fast lane tickets 🎫!), a mountain overpass to view the ‘other side’ of the island and Batu Ferringhi. Jeff treated us to some deep fried radish cake which was DELICIOUS! He is the ultimate professional, friendly, knowledgeable and reliable.

This was an exceptionally good tour! Lester our tour guide was amazing, very flexible, and very knowledgeable! Would highly recommend Rainbow Skywalk at the Top! Try if possible to a avoid booking on a weekend, as the traffic is bad in Penang, but Lester navigated us through it very well! However as it is a half day tour, you want to cram as much in as possible, hence week day is more preferable! We still managed

Mr. Lester was extremely good - he took personal care to show us around the entire Penang city while being very flexible with where we wanted to spend more time and also tweaked the planned tour as per our interests. Wish we had more time to spend at Penang, it did not feel like we were spending time with tour guide but instead someone from family who is taking us around. He even took us to an Indian place at the end as we asked for and had snacks together. This was one of the best tours and trips we had, highly highly recommend Mr. Lester and this Viator trip for anyone visiting Penang.

We sailed on the Spectrum of the Seas RCL ship from Singapore which docked in Penang around 2:30 pm. Thankfully, we found a 1/2 day private excursion on Viator which allowed us to go visit the amazing Ken Lok Si Buddhist temple which closes around 4:30 pm. Our guide drove us to the Temple, toured us around, and then drove us back to Georgetown for continued exploration of this UNESCO Heritage site.
I strongly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Penang from the RCL cruise itineraries as this provides the best opportunity to see highlights of Penang in such a short period of time.

Our guide Mr Tiger Teoh was professional and friendly. My husband and I were excited as this is the first time that we went on a holiday without our children after a long time.
