Kevin (guide) and David...
Kevin (guide) and David (driver) were wonderful! The tour was filled with jokes, surprising gifts, and thoughtful touches. We hit so many landmarks, with just the right amount of time for each so nothing felt rushed. At the Hierve el Agua (1 hr 20 minutes), we took the longer loop around; the views were amazing. I would recommend packing some snacks and having a heavier breakfast (lunch stop is at 3 pm). It was a fun day meeting other travelers and having a great guide. Highly recommended!

Amazingly organized full...
Amazingly organized full day. Our tour had 4 Spanish speakers and us 2 English speakers and our guide did an excellent job switching back and forth for all of us, all very understandably.

Great Experience and Value
Very fun and well organized, and our guide Miguel was very knowledgeable and entertaining at every stop. A half day was the perfect amount of time, and we didn’t feel rushed or bored at any point

Favorite Oaxaca Tour
Adriel and David are fantastic! Adriel's explanations are very clear and I got to see aspects of the Oaxacan countryside I likely never would have discovered on my own. The tour provided a window into the history and culture of this beautiful state and made me excited to come back one day. The sites—the Tule tree, Teotitlan del Valle, Mitlan, and Hierve el Agua—did not disappoint, and the mezcal tasting was fun, informative, and generous. Favorite tour in Oaxaca!

Amazing Day
The tour was amazing! Estephanie was our guide, and she was wonderful. The day is jam-packed with activities, but don’t worry, at no point did it feel rushed. We had “free time” at every stop, which is exactly my style of tour. We also got extremely lucky with the weather. It was cool and overcast, which was perfect for all the walking we did. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would absolutely recommend this tour! Good weather not guaranteed ;)

Kevin was a great tour...
Kevin was a great tour guide! Very full (but not too taxing or difficult) day tour! Definitely recommend and not surprised it’s the top rated one of these for Oaxaca.

Must do while in Oaxaca
mazing day visiting Hierve el Agua, Teotitlán del Valle, Mitla, and the Tule Tree. Each stop was unique and memorable. Kevin was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience.
Highly recommend it, you see a lot with a small group of people.

When to visit

Mitla is a must for history buffs and those interested in Mexico’s ancient history.
There is an admission fee.
Plan about an hour to explore the archaeological site. It’s also worth visiting the town of San Pablo Villa de Mitla, where highlights include the San Pablo Church and a handicrafts market.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking over uneven grounds, and bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water, since there is little shade at the ruins.
Some parts of the site are accessible for travelers using wheelchairs and strollers.
