Halong Bay Shore Excursion: Full Day Cruise Tour from Cruise Port

Our trip was great! Our guide Johnny was very knowledgable and attentive for the 7 hour excursion. Easy to find him at the cruise ship port, and quick loading on to the boat. We had 18 passengers, and could have had room for at least 30, so lots of space, which was nice. Clean, available bathrooms. Soda, beer, water available for sale ($1-2 USD), and you do get 1 free with lunch. The itinerary was different than what was on Viator, but it all ended up being great. Went to an oyster & pearl farm, Sung Set Cave, then had lunch (so much food! A set menu, and it just kept coming. After lunch, we visited Luon Cave - we had options to take a bamboo boat (included), kayak (included) or speedboat (~$17 USD), and we had enough time to do 2 of the 3! Finally, we also stopped at Titov Isle - has a viewpoint with about 450 steps, which I didn't do, but we had enough time here to allow that. We stayed at the beach/shops area, which was pretty small. Swimming was allowed, but again, it was very small, so we didn't go in. Johnny was a great guide and the boat crew were wonderful! Great way to see the cool bay area.

10 Stars out of 5 stars -Highly Recommend (Don't Miss This One). Honestly, to visit the key locations of Han Oi with out this private tour would have resulted in a simple visual experience. We can't speak higher of Peter's knowledge and expertise in the manner he was able to share this with us (excellent English speaker) which added so much value to our trip. Peter organised us premium seating at Train Street, acted as our private photographer , snapping all the best shots) and just went above and beyond at every stop. He is such a nice young man and it was a pleasure to spend time with him and learn about Vietnam. The car was modern and clean and our driver was great too. Do yourself a favour and do this tour (ask for Peter if you can)

The food tour was amazing! We got a really authentic taste of the food in Hanoi. Definitely recommend! Bobby, our tour guide was amazing! If you want to avoid the super touristy spots and eat in more authentic places, this is the tour for you! Definitely, one of the highlights of our trip.

Great experience and learning.

The chef who worked with us was wonderful and the facility was good to work in. We had a small group of 6 people and we all got to know each other during the class. We made tasty food which we will try to duplicate at home. This was a wonderful experience in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. We would highly recommend this class. Easy to understand and hands on.

Exhilarating, Enjoyable and Memorable

Leave from Hanoi old quarter at about 7:45am and back by 8:30-9pm. Exhilarating day. The Sung Sot cave is amazing. Loved the speedboat ride ($12 extra) followed by Bamboo boat ride. Titop s was quite a climb, but the view was amazing. Bus ride is comfortable with adequate washroom breaks. Hiem the guide is quite funny and helpful. Remember to carry plenty of extra cash for drinks on the boat, or at Titop or souvenirs at Sun Sot. Card also accepted on boat with taxes added. Halong Bay is very picturesque. A memorable trip indeed. All activities were conducted on time without feeling rushed.

Ho long bay trip was...

Ho long bay trip was fantastic, however there is room for improvement. 1. The food was satisfactory, there should be be a choice of meal, and if not wanted it should be reflected in the price. I saw how much went to waste 2 . The cocktail offer came at the wrong time, as soon as my drink arrived it was time to get off the boat. Beside these factors I thoroughly enjoyed the trip- speed boating was fun. (Also there should be a option to pay for this when booking the excursion upfront) 3. Provide an option where you only do the Ha Long Bay cruise, the other elements adds to the day - more time spent on cruise could be better . Ken - our guide was brilliant, could not fault him in any way.

If you love nature, this is the place to be. It is beautiful. Our guide.Minh was real good. The only thing I don’t like is the pushiness for the Tips. We always leave good tips but when you’re being hound on the row back on the river, it’s hard to enjoy it. I’m assuming they don’t always get tips so maybe that’s why, but it was the only thing on the trip that I wasn’t happy with.

We visited Halong bay and had a tour guided by guide David through caves, the chance to kayak through the bay, and a huge lunch of seafood. The drive was smooth, we were well taken care of, and our guide was very knowledgeable. We had the chance to chat about other places to visit during our trip and David had a ton of suggestions not just in Halong bay and Hanoi. Great experience and was a highlight of our trip!

Above my expectations

Fabulous day. The catamaran was very comfortable with loads of space. The sofa and chairs were great for relaxing. There is a bar and a jacuzzi. Waterslides too, for those who like them. Most of all the guide Xin chào was excellent. He kept us well informed, ran the whole day very professionally. The food on board is also excellent. The coach transfer is comfortable.
