Lifeguards are stationed at the beach during summer weekends and public holidays. Swim between the flags for extra safety. Picnic tables and barbecues are available for public use at Mahy Reserve, near the western end. Surf schools operate at the western end of the beach, while the eastern end is ideal for kayaking and paddle boarding.
