Awesome place to see tons of monkeys

Taka was an awesome guide and he made sure all our questions were answered. The tour started with Sake tasting, which we did not care for since we do not drink alcohol. Still we made the best of our time there taking pictures in their courtyard which had a lot of cherry blossoms as well as other flowers. Next was the Shinkoji temple, which was pretty nice. There were a lot of other temples and shrines in the complex, which made it interesting. We then drive close to the money park but stopped for lunch before entering. Being vegetarians, we did not have high hopes based on our earlier experiences in Japan, but we're pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. All is it was very tasty and completely vegetarian as per our request. Of course, the highlight of the tour was the monkey park. There were tons of monkeys around and I'm addition to the hot spring, there was a nice river with small rapids that made for a great backdrop for the photos with the monkeys. The monkeys seen used to humans as they just went about their business ignoring us completely. We got done nice videos of monkeys jumping across the stream and scampering across over a small rope. Overall, we had a lot of fun there. Be advised that it is a1.6km walk from the parking lot to the hot spring. It is mostly flat, but we're muddy. We bought plastic shoe coverings at the gift shop and they were all worth it for the must condition of the trail. We highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in nature and animals.

Adapting a tour for diverse ages and fitness-,Masa rocked!

This was a small tour and Masa was superb! Great directions on meeting point and check in. Gave some history and pointed out sites aling the way. Since this was a moderate hike to see the monkey's he was clear on what to expect and kept the group moving but not rushed so everyone could keep their own pace. Pretty muddy in spots but the hike was well worth it. Lots of time for pics and enjoying this amazing bit of nature. After the hike, stopped for lunch (loved the pork over the chicken). Might let them know of any allergies since this a preset meal. Then off to sako tasting...loved the Shu! 30 minutes to tour and then back to Nagano. Masa took great care of us and highly recommend him as a guide. Just awesome, encouraging us to take the time need to enjoy the mountain on our way!

Well-organised and well-executed tour, our guide Tommy was very knowledgeable. There were so many snow monkeys the day we went! And they were so chill. It was quite a fast paced tour though so if you’ve got very young kids or wish to linger or go at a leisurely pace it may be better to book a private tour with the company. They’re great!

Amazing Tour

Dillion was an amazing guide. His deep knowledge was put to the test by our endless curiosity. If he didn’t know the answer he knew who to ask. We had a wonderful day that just kept getting better. We expected the snow monkeys to be the highlight and they certainly were, but the rest of the day was just as fascinating. Lunch was delicious and the conversation never slowed. The temple tour was quite interesting and Dillion shared his knowledge and personal experience freely. We bumped in to another tour group and their guide learned a few tidbits from Dillion. We enjoyed a little free time to explore and sampled a few treats at the temple complex. The final highlight was learning about the Sake brewing process and sampling a variety of excellent variations. A truly informative and adventurous day.

Me and my partner had a wonderful tour with Masa-san this morning around Nagano. We saw some lovely sights around town, with in depth questions and answers from Masa-san. We also had a chance to stop off in a traditional oyaki shop, before exploring the stunning Zenjōji temple. The sake tasting after the fact was simply a huge bonus! Learning about the different types of Sake and then tasting them was an insightful experience. Overall it was a great time, with an excellent tour guide, who even dropped us off at his favourite soba restaurant per our request! Thank you Masa-san!

A tranquil wonderland worthwhile exploring!

Our entire family went snowshoeing with our guide Kouhei. It was a very enjoyable and informative tour. Kohei is a true gentleman and very knowledgeable guide. The experience was relaxed and fun even though there was a bit of walking involved. Lake Kagami was an absolute highlight and we were very fortunate to a have perfect weather. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who would like to explore Togakushi and experience something different to what the typical tourist route reveals.

Took the private full day...

Took the private full day Nagano tour with private car and it was great experience. Our tour guide Hiro was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. He helped make some changes for us on the fly so we could maximize our tour. We started at Zenko-ji temple and learned a lot about the history. Then went to see the snow monkeys and we saw a lot of them. It was one of my bucket list for Japan and it didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed seeing them in person as I had seen them on TV. We ended our tour in Nagano city and Hiro helped arrange a reservation for us for dinner. I really enjoyed Nagano city, it had all the charm of a traditional Japanese tour destination without the huge crowds. I would highly recommend taking this tour and don’t skip out on the sake tasting in Obuse as well.

Excellent Guide for a memorable walk

Hiroshi-San was an excellent guide. Gave us a history of Japan before we started the walk so we have understanding of the Nakasendo walk history. He was a gentleman and speaks English well as he lived in USA for a long time. He was attentive and very helpful holding my arm as I navigate the downhill slope as I was afraid of falling, We enjoyed Hiroshi-San company very much. It is better to have a guide as we saw some people taking the wrong way and Hiroshi-San alerted them ... perhaps they are on wrong path. Definitely recommend Hiroshi-San as a guide. Very good tour. The guide spoke excellent English and was very helpful and knowledgeable. She made the experience enjoyable. You really need a guide to explain the farm and its history. A guided tour is a must in my opinion. The tour was so helpful in providing instructions on how to get out to the farm.
