This tour takes you first to Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. The Nizwa Souq is among the largest of its kind in the country. Next to the Souq is Nizwa Fortress. The fort is a museum today and offers splendid views of this ancient town and the surrounding mountains. After that proceed to Al Hamra, to visit the old village and see the tradition homes their . Then we move on towards Misfath al Abreen. This picturesque village lies on a steep slope at the foot of Jebel Shams, a few kilometres from the village of Al Hamra and consists of old homes and narrow streets. It has a large Falaj system which supplies water for many orchards, date palms and vegetables. It is worth to spend at least 1 � hours walking around the village. Said messaged well in advance of the trip, to offer advice related to this tour or any other enquiries - and after getting to know him, this didn’t surprise me at all. An absolute gentleman who made our trip(s) fantastic. Also, I had booked an evening city tour (through Viator) with a different company, the night prior to this trip. They cancelled a couple of hours prior and when I explained this to Said (due to his offer above), he stepped in at the 11th hour and took my wife and I on an additional tour at a very competitive price, with additional stops. In terms of the trip we booked, it ticked all the boxes we were after, and even an additional stop at the perfume factory (following a chat about it the night prior), with no additional charge. He also provided plenty of cold water, and his Land Cruiser was very comfortable throughout both trips. He knew all the photo spots to go too and even took pictures of my wife and I. Following the trip, he also sent a list of restaurants and places of interest that worked within our schedule, including in Jabal Akhdar where we were going the next day. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better host while in Muscat.

Amazing jam packed day!

Amazing jam packed day with so much variety to keep us well entertained and opportunities for a whole stack of pictures. The tour gave us a lovely cultural feel and spectacular views of the mountain, the visit to the village was lovely, walking along the narrow path smelling those roses, we definitely won't forget, like the rest of the trip. The Turkish food provided certainly hit the spot. Our guide Mohammad was superb, making us all feel super welcome and always checking if he could do anything more for us, loved our conversations and what a driver!

A Great Day!

I'm really glad I selected this tour. It was a beautiful, fun, and relaxing day, and everything went perfectly well and as expected based on the descriptions and reviews. Our guide Wadd was superior. I don't use WhatsApp so he took the time to communicate with me through the Viator app, and he was right on time in picking me up at my hotel. Wadd was kind and generous throughout the trip and never pressured us to hurry up, even though I think we were a bit slow and took a ton of photos. There were only three of us in the group so we were all comfortable in his 4x4 car. The scenery was gorgeous, and I learned a lot about Omani history at Fort Nawaz and the other historical sights we saw. The Khubz Ragag bread we tried at the fort was delicious. A must-try if possible. Our lunch was very good too. The mountains of Jebel Akhdar are lovely. You can clearly see the geologic forces that shaped them. I enjoyed stopping at the Al-Sharif Museum and seeing the beautiful views from the cafe deck there. I can highly recommend this great day tour and GidOman.

We were very fortunate to have Saif as our guide who provided us with a fascinating and in depth tour of Muscat. We visited Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, The Opera House, Old Muscat, a souk and the Barr Al Jissah resort. Saif was very client focused, spoke flawless English and introduced us to Omani history and touching on many aspects of its culture - would highly recommend.

Great tour

Very full day with a lot of time spent on the road but absolutely worth it as a taste of the real Oman. Highlight was the visit to a bedouin house where we learnt the finer custom of receiving guests and sharing tea. Our guide Ahmed was a gem and willing to discuss all that Oman is - really enjoyable.

This is a great trip, a long day but well worth it. It was estimated to be 10 hours but was actually 12 hours. This was a small group tour, only 12 people, but we travelled in 3 4x4s. Our driver and guide, Abdul Hamid, was lovely and very knowledgeable. Nizwa Fort is amazing, one could spend a lot longer there than we had. Travelling to the mountains and "grand canyon" was amazing. A very good lunch was included in the price. I thoroughly recommend this trip.

Fun family adventure

We had a great time. Fahad took us to some great spots that weren’t too busy with other boats. We saw many turtles at the first spot and lots of colourful fish. At the second spot he took us to a spot on the rock mountain that allowed us to see eagle rays and baby sharks. The kids collected shells and explored the beach too. Gathas provided cold drinks, sandwiches and fruit. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend

Very timely pick up, clean bus, and a great tour guide, Muhannad. The wadi was beautiful. The hike itself was easy, a couple narrow and slippery spots but that was fine. Once you get to the swimming portion, it can be challenging at times because of very slippery and sharp rocks, and some areas are pretty deep. I think water shoes are a MUST. There are some for sale or rent right outside the entrance. If you are not a 100% confident with your swimming, rent a life jacket. Because even as an avid swimmer I got tired in some sections without a life jacket. Gorgeous views and great adventure. The Bimmah sinkhole after was okay but it was hard to compare it to the beauty of the wadi. Highly recommend this tour

Great half day trip

Great half day of snorkelling. The whole trip was about four hours from leaving Seeb Harbour. 30 minute fast speedboat ride to 1st snorkelling point, snorkelling from the boat. We saw lots of turtles, coral and fish, sea was warm and calm, good visibility. .Next stop was to an island nearby where you could walk to the beach from the boat and either sit, swim, snorkel or walk. We then got back to Harbour at 5:30 as the Sun was setting. There were plenty of drinks and snacks on the boat and Captain Happy Flower was excellent.

Excellent half day activity in Muscat

We had a spare day in Muscat so went on this snorkelling and dolphin watching tour. We saw a huge amount of dolphins, then beautiful fish and turtles while swimming around some coral, the tour guide/boat captain was excellent. We recommend this trip as they even pick you sup and drop back to your hotel.
