We purchased a ticket at the port to get from the ship to the city center via shuttle bus. The tour company meeting point was immediately where the shuttle dropped us. The tour group was very big. We filled a large double decker tour bus. Once in Florence, we took a walking tour with the guide to see the main sights (exterior only). There were many people in the group and it was hard to hear the guide unless we got up very close. After the walking tour, we had free time to shop and have lunch. We then went to Pisa and walked around the main square and saw the tower. We had free time in Pisa. The driver was able to drive us directly back to port so we did not need to take the shuttle back which was very nice.

From start to finish, everything was well organized, punctual, and stress-free—exactly what you want when you’re traveling on a cruise schedule. Our guide was outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, engaging, and full of fascinating stories about Pisa’s history, architecture, and culture. During the drive from Livorno, we learned so much about Tuscany and the surrounding countryside, making the journey just as enjoyable as the destination. Even in the sweltering July heat, the guide kept the group comfortable, offered helpful tips for staying cool, and ensured everyone had plenty of time to explore and capture those iconic “holding up the Leaning Tower” photos. They struck the perfect balance between guided commentary and free time to wander the beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli. Seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person was even more impressive than we imagined. The entire square, with its stunning cathedral and baptistery, is breathtaking and well worth the visit. What a wonderful and fun experience!

I truly believe we have new friends in Livorno. Joelle and Ricardo welcomed us into their beautiful home and everything was perfect. The view of the Mediterranean Sea was beautiful and peaceful. Our food was delicious. One of our friends even helped make the Tortelli Maremmani. Chatting with both Joelle and Ricardo, we found that we had mutual hobbies and backgrounds. We postponed our taxi driver 3 times because we were having such a great time! This is a once in a lifetime experience!

The tour included visiting Florence and Pisa . Our guide Simone was very friendly and shared many interesting stories and facts about Italy and his family . The only problem we encountered was the tourists crowds, and the summer heat . I would recommend visiting very early in the morning. I loved Pisa ! Worth the visit .

Cool tour guide, excellent amount of free time

Ariana was our effortlessly cool and stylish tour guide and did a commendable job conducting a tour in two languages (English and Spanish). The bus was comfortable and AC worked pretty well. It was a hot day in Florence and with the free time allotted we felt like we got to see everything we wanted as well as have a nice sit down lunch. We didnt go inside any churches or museums this time and most of the rest of the area is gelato and souvenir shops. Ponte Vecchio was a definite must see! The sing along on the ride back was fun but we also had some quiet time to snooze and unwind on the way back to our ships.

We had amazing day touring Lucca and stopping at a local family winery for a tour, wine tasting and lunch. Amazing views , tour guides Rafaelli and Tomaso gave a lot of historical information. The last stop in Pisa to see the leaning tower was very nice. I definitely would recommend this tour.

Fabulous Authentic Pasta Making Experience

Sarah was an excellent host, she accommodated us straight away when we arrived early and provided us with water and Prosecco to start. The scenery was lovely right next to the canal and it was a lovely relaxed environment. Sarah gave really easy and straight forward instructions when it came to the pasta making and if you struggled at all she was happy to help. Sarah reached out in advance to see what sauce we would like with our pasta and we throughly enjoyed eating the pasta we made and it was a very generous portion. We were well fed and watered throughout and Sarah’s energy and enthusiasm throughout made it so enjoyable. Thank you Sarah for a great morning and lovely lunch!
