Lower Zambezi National Park

Lower Zambezi National Park is one of Africa’s most untouched wilderness parks.
River safaris are a great way to go wildlife spotting in the park, with some tourism operators offering multi-day river safaris and land-based safaris and hiking safaris.
Visitors should bring comfy shoes and clothes, including long sleeves and long pants in quick-dry fabrics to protect against mosquitoes. Neutral colors are also best, with visitors asked to avoid bright colors—mainly blue—and military-style or camouflage clothing.
Sunglasses, sunhats, and sunscreen are also recommended, as are warm clothes and layers for evening and early morning safaris.
Luggage restrictions, including weight limits and bans on hard cases, can apply if you’re flying into Lower Zambezi National Park, so check the requirements before you travel.
Most lodges offer fully inclusive safari packages with game drives, river safaris, accommodation, meals, and even transport to/from the park. Outside the lodges, the park's amenities are minimal, with no shops, gas stations, or restaurants.
