A enjoyable couple of hours wandering around the Gion District learning about Geisha. Our guide Dai was great sharing his knowledge on what was a very busy and crowded evening and we learnt such a lot about the history present and future of this fascinating part of Japanese culture. He was able to lead us through the crowds to the best places and point out things we would otherwise have missed. We strongly recommend this tour as great introduction to Kyoto.

A magical day touring Kyoto!

We had an absolutely wonderful time touring Kyoto with our group of 8 family members! We got to see all the main sites—Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari, Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and Kinkaku-ji. We also had time to visit Otagi Nenbutsugi near Arashiyama. Sasaki was a great driver, and he took good care of our group. We had one person who had some mobility issues, and he was very thoughtful and helpful. The tour went from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and it was well worth the price. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to spend a magical day around Kyoto!

Kazuma was a great guide. The trip met at Kyoto Train Station and traveled to Nara. Kazuma was easy to talk to and conversational. He was able to tell us about the history of Nara, the temples and why the deer are there. I would strongly recommend this tour.

Highly Recommend this great all day experience with our guide Akiko!

My husband and I were lucky enough to get Akiko as our guide, she was so knowledgeable and an absolute delight to spend the day with. She had all the top spots for us to visit but was very flexible in changing the itinerary to accommodate our requests . Akiko was very patient and took many photos for us, often pointing out the best spots to take the pictures. We stopped several times throughout the day to try drinks, snacks, and unusual treats. We also went to a little local spot with no tourists for a delicious lunch, we loved the delicious variety food of food she recommended. This tour uses a combination of transportation: the oldest above ground train in Japan, the subway, taxi, and lots of walking, make sure you have good shoes! Make sure you plenty of Japanese YEN, many small places only accept cash. Thank you Akiko for a very memorable day!!!

Very fun and educational experience!

Walk in with an open and relaxed mind. You will get undressed and then dressed up by the very sweet ladies, in a very respectful and organized way. For younger children the tea ceremony requires some self-control but they don’t mind a few laughs and jokes as long as you are still respectful of the ceremony. The best part is getting dressed up, of course! There is a beautiful selection of hand-embellished kimono and obj silks, and they do the girls’ hair with a variety of hair adornments. My 11-year-old son got to wear a gorgeous “shogun” style silk outfit and was feeling the power. The ceremony is interesting and educational, and they keep it fun by allowing a few guests to prepare the tea. At the end the ladies gave my son a box of origami frogs, which was very sweet!

Willa is a winner!

The most magnificent sites in Kyoto and Osaka were enhanced by Willa our guide. She gave us plenty of time to enjoy especially at Nars Park, the bamboo forest and beautiful, traditional temples and gardens. We also had time to walk around and see how the residents live in Kyoto, which was a treat since we were staying in Osaka. Unique, amazing experience in Kyoto.

Amazing experience! More than I expected, our tour guide Soichiro was very personable and friendly. The Maiko was very friendly as well and answered many questions, with a translator. The dance was beautiful and the game we played after very fun. We were surprised after that we went to visit a shrine guided by the Maiko which was the cherry on top. Truly amazing experience and I highly recommend it.
