What are people saying about Kyoto

One of our trip highlights 👌🏻
We did this ramen-making class as a family and honestly had such a great time. The kids really enjoyed it, especially getting to make their own ramen and then eat it after. The class was easy to follow, very engaging, and never felt too complicated or too slow. It was informative but still light and entertaining from start to end. Overall, just a really nice, well-run experience that worked for our whole family. Glad we did it!

Cracking!
Excellent from start to finish. Haruki was super helpful even before the tour started, sending us a Google map of where to meet. He explained everything as we went, took tonnes of photos for us and was so good with our daughter. The tour itself was a good pace even with the crowds and I’d recommend Haruki and the tour to anyone!

Being fired into kimonos...
Being fired into kimonos and having hair done, etc. made this tea ceremony a great photo op as well as getting a good lesson in tea culture in Kyoto. It was a lovely experience and I'm so glad we chose this out of so many available tea ceremony events.

Fantastic, comprehensive...
Fantastic, comprehensive and respectful experience, everything you could want from this kind of experience. I was a bit reticent as I didn't want to do any activities that might be voyeuristic or exploitative, but this wasn't the case at all. We felt very lucky to have had this opportunity. It was easy to find the location and the host was very helpful and responsive. The geisha (maiko) was very skilled, a beautiful dancer, and of course looked amazing. We learned about anything you could possibly want to know about being a geiko or maiko - and if they don't cover it, you can ask the question yourself. Highly recommend. Okini!!
