What are people saying about Kochi

The authentic backwaters in a nutshell.
I wanted to get an impression of the backwaters without spending a whole day there (raining season!). For that purpose this tour proofed to be ideal. It started with a car rede to Poothotta village in Kotayam, where we were picked up by a comfortable boat (without motor) and our charming guide Meera. During the one hour upstream trip we enjoyed the tranquil landscape. We stopped at a local house where an old woman showed us the art of making ropes from coconut fiber as well as waving roofs from palm leaves. Then a small boat took us further into one of the smaller channels. Once back in Poothotta, we were served a traditonal Kerala Sadya meal, consisting of boiled rice and a number of vegetarian curries (some of them really spicy 🌶️) served on a banana leave. Luckily, there was no rain during the entire boat trip. At 14.30 I was back at the hotel. A perfect day with a short, but authentic experience in the less frequented backwaters.

Fabulous Heritage Tour of Fort Kochi
Viator has put together an all encompassing itinerary!
Biju Tours is an exemplary operator and the Guide Thomson made it a joyous and satisfying experience in the deadly heat of Kerala summer!
The guide displayed deep knowledge of history of Fort Kochi Kerala and India at large! He enjoyed his role and went above and beyond in making it a memorable trip! Kudos to his willingness to give me a lift on an E-Scooter for the longer stretches of the tour and escape the rigour of the Kerala summer.Suffice it to say that narration of historical and cultural aspects were class apart!
The tour has left me with a vivid image of Fort Kochi under the Portuguese,Dutch and the British colonizers.
It was indeed a deeply satisfying heritage and I would commend Biju Tours and Mr.Thomson for the experience.

An amazing day in Kochi
We had an amazing day with Thouseef. He took us to so many interesting and diverse places, many of which no other tourists would ever see. We visited many places of worship and had a mini food tour. Nothing was too much trouble and we left very happy but sad that we had to leave.

Beautiful Munnar
This was a wonderful trip. It takes about 3-3.5 hours to get to the tea plantation from Kochi. If your hotel isn't listed as a pickup location, contact person listed and check if they'll pick you up, anyways. Because they did this for us. Our driver, Feroz was excellent in every way. Patience, kindness, accommodating and safe. First stop us for breakfast, but it's not a place I would've chosen. It was a vegetarian menu and the bathroom accommodations were suboptimal. Our guide to the tea plantation, Suresh was kind, knowledgeable, patient and accommodated us accordingly. I have drank tea all my life, but never really learned anything about it. Today charged all of that and more. Suresh chose a wonderful location for us to picnic and provided us with snacks and the BEST tea I've ever had!
Feroz took us to a spice garden, where we learned so much! I have a whole different appreciation for sources l spices and ayurvedic treatments. I would definitely do this again! Thanks Suresh and Feroz!!!

Fab food tour of Fortkochi
We loved this food tour - Biju is born and raised in the town and knows everyone. Going on his tour gives you the chance to visit the restaurants like a local - and get treated like a VIP. We started with some fresh drinks (mango and avocado) before taking Biju’s tuk tuk to a nearby vegetarian place. We moved from there to a different restaurant serving different meat dishes and various accompaniments. And ended with a cooling drink at a street side family shop. Traveling as a tourist, you’d never find these places or know how good they were, so getting the personal tour is well worth doing and we’d recommend it to anyone.

Relaxing and peaceful tour
This tour was awesome, such a peaceful and relaxing way to see the sights. The tour guide picked us up near the cruise terminal and then we drove about an hour to the Kerala backwaters but the drive was interesting with lots to see. Stopped at a villagers house for a cup of tea and snacks and a demonstration about village life. We really enjoyed this slow paced and relaxing tour.

A great way to see parts of Kerala
We had an excellent time on this trip! We are graduate students from the US and found this experience lovely and a very good value. We had excellent accommodations and our driver was very knowledgeable, professional, and safe. Munnar is beautiful and offers lots to see and do for thrill-seekers (zip lines, jeep rides) or relaxed sightseeing (tea plantations, vistas). Alleppey and Kochi were were lovely too, had a very relaxing boat trip, visited the beach, and Kochi offered some historic sites and good shopping.
A couple pieces of advice - the optional jeep trip is a bit of a scam, its good if you want secret waterfalls but for wildlife just ask your driver to take you directly to the wild elephant sighting location.
Also, it takes some time to drive around to each location. Think about what things from the itinerary are most important and prioritize those, we didn't not have time for all the included activities. Otherwise, just relax and enjoy the accommodations!

Thanks for a great day!...
Thanks for a great day! Our guide picked us up at our hotel to drive us to the houseboat. During our drive to the houseboat, he shared a lot of knowledge about areas we were passing by and like in Kerala. We had an amazing lunch on the houseboat and enjoyed the peacefulness of the backwaters. We enjoyed our guides company throughout our day. Our day was made so easy by offering hotel pickup and drop off. Highly reo. Thanks for a great day

Amazing 5 day Kerala tour with Sanguine
We went on a 5-day private tour in Kerala, which we booked with Sanguine through the Viator app. They arranged the trip wonderfully. Nimisha was amazing — always available to answer our questions and help whenever we needed. Sumesh was an excellent driver and a knowledgeable guide throughout the trip. The cost was very reasonable, and they arranged beautiful resorts. The houseboat experience was incredible. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Kerala and created unforgettable memories there.

4 great days exploring Kerala
Great communication, great value for money. Brilliant service from our driver, Rajesh, definitely added to the experience with humour, flexibility and a willingness to respond to all requests. Felt very safe and looked after throughout. Will definitely be recommending to friends who are visiting later in year.

Jolly Jude
To have a tour guide Jude & driver Onu (not sure spelling) was absolutely spectacular. Jude was very knowledgeable not only about the scheduled tour but also about Kerala & India in general. He made us feel at ease and guided us effectively through the day. Request Jude for your trip to Munnar or any other tour, you won't be disappointed.
