We had a group of about 18 and got picked up in a small bus from Fort Kochi. We drove a bit out of town and had two boat rides, one shaded and one open. Lunch was in between. Then there was a weaving and rope making demonstration. Overall it was great, but I recommend you bring a water bottle. There are no forced shopping stops, just an opportunity to buy a drink and snack from a little store if you want. For the price I thought it was a great tour, and I enjoyed meeting everyone in our group!

For the price, it was a well organized tour. It included hotel pickup and drop off, AC Taxi, English guide, boat ride in backwaters, lunch, tea, and demonstrations by local artisans. The organizers were courteous and helpful.

Such a lovely way to experience the backwaters around Kochi. A nice air conditioned vehicle takes you out, you get to spend the day relaxing on a boat and meeting local people, and the lunch was one of the best meals I’ve had in India (and that is saying something!)

We were picked up from our hotel on time and we drove about an hour to a village community. We were given Tea and a rest break before heading onto our first boat. We had a calm and beautiful boat ride through the waters for a few hours before returning back to base camp for a traditional meal. Afterwards we hopped in a smaller boat and took a 30 minute ride through a smaller canal, and then we returned back to base camp and were given more tea and an opportunity to learn about some of the traditional creative arts that are done using coconuts. We were then taking back to our hotel. Our entire trip lasted about nine hours.
