Lovely and informative tour of the Bosphorus

All the details were very helpful from making the reservation online at Viator, to the meeting point and the point of contact, to communication with the team through WhatsApp, and finally the informative and lovely tour with Alpy, Captain and crew. We paid a little extra for the one glass of wine, but Alpy was incredibly generous by always offering more. There was more snacks and more wine, it seemed. Alpy also provided an abundance of information on the rich and meaningful history of the architecture and geography of Istanbul. It’s an interesting perspective of the city when you’re on the3 waterway. He also was very charming, trying to engage those on shore - quite entertaining; it takes a lot to remember and share so much detailed information and perform while being personable. He did it all very well. I’m usually a seasick person, so I stayed in one spot, front middle of the boat behind the captain so that I could have a view of the horizon and the land. I was totally fine. Not an issue at all.

Scenic and incredible!

What an incredible cruise of the Bosphorus through some of Istanbul's most significant landmarks!! The service was incredible, they took great care to make sure all guests are comfortable and can get the most out of the experience. Our tour guide is also hilarious and charming. He turned notable landmarks into troves of stories. The Bosphorus in all its beauty becomes animated and alive through his commentaries.

Perfect thing to do in Istanbul!!!

Absolutely exceptional service! There was many performances that highlight the deep and rich culture of Turkey as well as a live belly dancer at the end, was MAGICAL!! If I could rate 10 stars I would. It includes appetizers, main course, AND dessert and drink! Sooo worth it. And my guide Cengiz and Ezgin were SO easy to help me and my sister!!! I was late and they literally talked to my taxi driver on the phone on how to get me to my destination - and then they covered my ride!!! 10000x stars !!! I would do this again when I come back to Turkey 😍

Excellent tour! Very comprehensive to give you a nice taste of Istanbul. Pickup was efficient. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and even helpful in taking pictures. The authentic Turkish lunch was so good and I left very full! I also liked the free time we had in each place. For everything you get, the price is extremely reasonable. I recommend this tour very much.

Customer service...

Customer service (coordinator) was over and above for us. No matter what problem we threw at then, they handled it. Very responsive and avcommodating. Our tour guide, Asha was very knowledgeable and able and willing to answer any and all questions. Other staff were also very responsive with snacks and drinks. A wonderful ride!

Best tour ever

Fabulous guide and tour. He was very informative and timed our visits to avoid crowds. The boat ride was wonderful. They came around constantly serving fruits and cheeses. It was a luxurious yacht for our group of 15 which probably holds 150 people. We had a nice lunch at a rooftop restaurant that was very nice.

It was OK!

We enjoyed the actual boat trip & the meal. The transport was, I’m afraid, a different matter. We were ready to be picked up before the time stated but they failed to arrive. We emailed, sent a WhatsApp but got no response to either. In the end the hotel staff rang for us and they eventually sent a driver for us 1.5 hours after the stated time. We arrived at the boat as the very last passengers - 30 mins after it was due to depart. I have emailed Viator about this but I am still waiting for their response.

Sweet cruise

Sweet and simple, just hard to find so walk all the way down where ferry boats end and there’s a big building you have to walk around to find Sea land travel agency. Once you do, you’re good. Announcements relay facts about sites in multiple languages, and you have lots of photo opps on the top deck and can relax below at covered tables. I spilled free hot tea on myself twice so watch the waves.

Good experience but coordination didn’t go exactly as planned

The coordinator of this tour reached out the day before about the meeting time and location, specifying our boat will be “ibrahim naral”. When we got there we couldn’t find any boat named ibrahim naral, but eventually someone came check us off the list, and pointed out a boat for us. But it was NOT ibrahim naral, which we later found out was occupied only by another tour group. Also, in the listing it says “free bottled water included”, but when on board they told us it’s 50 lira each…..They did provide free hot tea and biscuits half way though.

We had a wonderful time with Golden City Tours on this sunset cruise. The boat was clean and comfortable. The crew was very accommodating and welcoming. Along the way, a guide pointed out landmarks and places of interest. He gave historical facts and context also. The tour was great. I highly recommend it.

Super fun with gorgeous views. Informative and interesting. We were provided with water snacks and fruit, it was a very enjoyable experience as we watched the sun set. Boat was clean and comfortable. Our guide Mr Robert was excellent. There was also a cute dog on board. Would definitely recommend as a nice way to spend the evening.
