It's a very chill ride. Takes you through the beautiful Loch Ness with stunning views of Urquhart Castle (my favorite part). It's nothing fancy, but for the price it's worth it. There is an interesting history audio that plays for part of the trip. You can sit inside or outside on the boat.

It rained while we were on the boat but inside was warm and very roomy and the windows were massive. The narrator was very informed of the history of the Loch and everything around it. I would recommend this one hour cruise for anyone with a short vacation span. We only had two days in Inverness.
Stephanie_N, Apr 2026
Really lovely staff, the trip was really easy and straight forward from booking the trip to boarding onto the cruise boat. Toilets and gift shop right next to the loch also. We had a brilliant time

excellent trip. Great staff and well organised. Nice tidy boat. Thoroughly recommend 👌 great for a quick trip down the Loch and great views from the Loch to great castle
Laura_W, Apr 2026
Extremely well narrated. Interesting and informative. We had a lovely trip without seeing Nessie. Thank you.

Parking up for the cruise and getting to the departure point was straightforward. Lovely trip up the loch to the castle. You can sit inside or outside and there is a bar onboard. An enjoyable trip.

you absolutely can not hear the overhead information and history even standing under a speaker id there are others in the room :( the Loch and views of Urquart are beautiful but we could not hear anything about them and that was very disappointing. Need to provide a visual screen of whats being said or even a printed version

My husband and I enjoyed this cruise of lich ness. It was cold but we stayed inside with our baby most of the time.
Everyone was very nice and knowledgeable

This was a nice boat ride, but it's less than an hour- 50 minutes maximum.
It runs from the Clansman Dock to the Castle and back again.
The volume of the commentary was pretty quiet, so it was difficult to hear, and apart from the castle, where a LOT of people joined the trip, there were not many other points of interest.
The views are stunning- so it's worth it for that alone.

It was a lovely 1 h cruise. Kids enjoyed it and so did we 😊
The weather wasn't great but the inside of the boat was warm and cosy 😊

Very nice tour. The boat was comfortable, staff was nice, and it did not feel rushed. It was cold that day so grateful for the enclosed cabin! If you want to see Loch Ness, I recommend this tour.
Angie_R, Mar 2026
We went on a very windy and cold day, but got some great photos and inside the cabin was nice and warm. The boat was clean, check-in was easy, there was parking closeby. Great little tour.
Shelley_B, Mar 2026
The staff was very accommodating to us..I took some of my brother's ashes and they were kind to let us spread them in front of Uquart Caatle. Made my memories very special.
Pamela_T, Mar 2026
Spacious cruise, plenty of comfortable seating inside or on the top deck. Refreshments on board if you require. Friendly informative staff, wonderful views of the lock and close up to Urquhart Castle, I would definitely take this boat cruise again.
Brian_S, Mar 2026
It’s a nice one hour scenic view of the lock Ness. It is not interactive and the information is played by recorder
Terry_H, Mar 2026
Lovely cruise along Loch Ness, slightly windy but weather was nice and dry. Went to Urquhart castle and back. Saw Nessie so very fortunate. Takes an hour.
Friendly staff, recommend
Mohammed_A, Mar 2026
It was barely an hour, but the weather and nature was amazing. The boat was clean and there was a coffee shop on board.
Jo_B, Mar 2026
It was a nice ferry trip on the Loch Ness but very short and not very informative. If only it could pass a couple of other history spots.
Christine_B, Feb 2026
There is closer landing harbour to Inverness for the Jacobite tour. Clansman Harbour is some distance if you don’t have a car. The staff were friendly, helpful and the commentary was fun, informative and entertaining.
Anne_M, Feb 2026
Really good short cruise of Loch Ness. The tour guide, Linda (sp?), was interesting, well informed (and multi-lingual!). All staff, on shore and on board, were warm and friendly. We also had a very nice lunch at the Clansman Hotel beforehand. The hotel gift shop had some good items, though we resisted purchasing anything today!
Would happily do this again when we’re next in the area, possibly taking the two-hour trip or include the stop-off at Urquhart Castle
Tom_M, Feb 2026
Great tour would recommend best see the loch Ness staff really helpful boat was comfortable must see
Russ_W, Feb 2026
While it was pleasant & informative, it was essentially a trip to Urquhart Castle and back.
It also wasn't a full hour as were close to the landing point within 45 minutes.
Teo_K, Feb 2026
It was a lovely experience, the boat ride was safe and all the staff were very polite, especially the host who was giving a lot of interesting information with charming humour.
Jason_E, Feb 2026
The tour was great fun and my family loved it. Kieran (the guide) was very entertaining. Fantastic experience!
Tim_L, Feb 2026
Great little trip on Loch Ness. Enjoyed the commentary and the boat seemed pretty new with great facilities including hot / cold drinks and snacks.
Fiona_S, Jan 2026
We were booked on the 13:00 which was cancelled as it was going to be safer going on the 14:00 cruise. 🚢 Friendly staff and we were given a free drink on the Cruise which was very kind.
paul_w, Jan 2026
Very informative, fantastic facilities. Spotless boat. Very very helpful staff, we can't wait to return.
Alicia_A, Jan 2026
Great tour. Very informative. Fun ride on the boat. Was very cold that day but there is an inside option for the boat as well.
Rebecca_V, Jan 2026

Visited with guests and lived every minute. Would love to do it again.

Once in life time experience if travelling through Scotland. We all hear about the story of the Loch Ness Monster as we grow up. To see the area is surreal.
