I do not have the words to describe how fabulous this experience was. Alastair was wonderful! He had stories and information about Scotland that were engaging and entertaining. The tour was perfectly timed - not rushed as some day long tours can be. I would highly recommend this company and plan on using them again in the future.

Sarah had great knowledge and enthusiasm, she's the best!! We left the tour much smarter than we began.

George was very flexible with my wife and me. He talked briefly with us when he picked us up and quickly determined our interest. From our conversation, he suggested a game plan for events which turned out to be wonderful. We very much appreciated his depth of knowledge, wiliness to field questions and relaxed attitude. George was so knowledgeable and gave us so much background and historical information it made the tour truly unforgettable!

Sarah was an outstanding guide! She took us to places off the beaten path and ensured we saw everything important to us especially the Highland cows! She was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the highlands and it was a pleasure to spend the day learning from her! We highly recommend this tour!!

Exceptional tour! Engaging, fun and we learned so much the time flew by and the 6 hours was well worth it! George was warm and insightful with a passion for Scotland that is contagious! You will not get a better history of Scotland. The group is small which gives you more time at the stops or to make adjustments due to weather and interest.

George was terrific. He balanced the weather with the tour to ensure a great experience. He also shared wonderful personal stories and historical facts to bring things alive. We appreciated the day very much and recommend this tour. A very worthwhile day.

George made a miserable rainy day the most fun we had anywhere in Scotland! He changed the sites around to suit the weather. He has the BEST stories.
JOHN_T, Sep 2025
Our guide George was one of the top tour guides we have ever experienced. Extremely knowledgeable and provided a terrific history behind all the sites we visited. He grew up on the area and made the entire trip fun

We had an incredible private tour with Sarah from GoHighland, visiting Inverness, Clava Cairns, Loch Ness, Culloden, and Cawdor Castle. From start to finish, Sarah was attentive, personable, and highly informative. She kept the tour engaging and interactive for everyone—including the kids—which made the experience all the more special.
Her passion for the Highlands shines through in every story and detail she shares, and it truly brought the history and beauty of the area to life. If you’re considering a tour in the Highlands, you won’t regret booking with GoHighland and asking for Sarah—we couldn’t recommend her more!

Awesome trip. Our small van was just 7 of us and a guide. Lots of excellent stops and stories from George our excellent guide.

Best tour I’ve taken. Small group. Comfortable ride and our guide Alastair was phenomenal. So knowledgeable about all aspects of The Highlands.
Loraine_G, Aug 2025

Very interesting and informative about parts of Scotland’s history. Plus beautiful sites and scenery.

This was an absolutely amazing tour! George was a fantastic guide and made the day perfect 🤩 we loved the details and stories he shared, the Scottish history and the extras with Cawder Castle, the highland cows and the Clydesdale horses. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. Highly recommend this to anyone. Thanks George 🏴

A wonderful day with George who provided the perfect mix of historical background, Scottish folklore and personal stories for each of the sites we visited. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable and made the sites really come alive! He also suggested fantastic places/poses for photographs. The van was super comfortable. He also included some stops not on the itinerary!! Such as 10 minutes visiting and feeding some Clydesdales on the side of the road. Highly recommend for the small group size as well. We did a tour on a bus, on a 16 person van and this trip with George, which was the smallest and most flexible . All in all a day well spent and well worth the money.

Awesome. Our guide Sarah(sp) was personable, knowledgeable, informative and a great driver. It was a wonderful experience.
Dan_T, Aug 2025
Great tour with a fun and informative tour guide, Roger. He took us to extra places because he is local. He loves Scotland
Eden_W, Aug 2025
Tour guide was great but hidden costs of the attractions was disappointing to say the least. Entrance fees to the various activities should be disclosed when purchasing the tour.
Jennifer_W, Aug 2025
Despite a huge unexpected storm the tour guide was able to reroute us so that we saw a truly delightful castle that was not on the itinerary. She was knowledgeable about Scottish history and generally a delight.
Shelley_H, Jul 2025
This was an enjoyable experience. Roger was informative, knowledgeable, personable & fun. I would recommend this tour.
Susanne_B, Jul 2025
Very nice and informed guide. We had a small group of 6 persons. Due to the short stay of our cruise ship the tour was adapted and we were back on board perfectly on time.
Rebecca_C, Jul 2025
This was by far the worst tour ever. I guess because it was sprinkling George the tour guide didn’t want to do part of the tour. Said who wants to see ruins anyway. They should take it off as an option if George doesn’t want to take you there and says it not worth it. Totally disappointed. Won’t be returning to Inverness. George ruined it and left a bad impression, sadly.
Tammy_J, Jul 2025
George was personal, informative and entertaining. We will definitely use their tour again if back in the area! Thank you!
Jennifer_O, Jul 2025
What a fantastic day with George! We were lucky enough that our family of 3 got George all to ourselves. He engaged all of us with his immense knowledge of the history of the Highlands from long ago to the current day. Clava Cairns came to life with his stories - we were all attentively hanging on his every word. He then took us to the grounds of the Battle of Culloden and again wove in stories that made this horrific event sink into our bones. His suggestion of Cawdor Castle was magical, and the beauty was just what we needed. Our last stop was the beach at Loch Ness, where he had us drink the water!! This tour was a highlight of our trip, and we left Inverness excited to hear more from George on our next visit. Thank you so much for an eye-opening day of history and so much laughter.
Chris_L, Jul 2025
If you want to learn about Scottish history and the Jacobites, this tour is for you! You will also see many of the sites where Outlander is filmed. Alastair was very knowledgeable and accommodating! Great tour!
Jo_O, Jul 2025
What a perfect day in Scotland! The tour was beyond our expectations. The sights and history were incredible but what made our day perfect was our tour guide Trevor! By the end of the day we felt like we had met up with an old friend who shared the history and beauty of his homeland. Highly recommend this experience!
