Should have just stayed in town and gone shopping, it was a nice ride but just a sight seeing ride was all it was. Not much to hop on and off for. I would not do it again.

Not happy.

We were at a stop outside of the city and the bus was late over 50 minutes. We called a taxi to get back to the city. There was no one to reach to find out where the bus was. We were late for our next engagement. They also changed a stop ( had a sign) so we had to run to the next stop. We saw the bus stop at the one that they supposedly changed. Needless it was a very frustrating experience. Considering Viator does not give money back if you have e to cancel sue to illness for tours and then this happens!! Will not use this sight again if this is how things are.

Great views of the city, but needs some updates

The driver was friendly and helpful. However, the bus itself is old and worn out. The speakers for the narrated tour were not loud enough to hear anything and did not effectively communicate the stops. It was not obvious when you could get on/off the bus. The seats on the open air deck were worn and cracked. Not a big deal, except I found out too late that this meant they are soaking wet because of all the rain in Scotland. The cracks allow the seats to become waterlogged. So use discretion when choosing a seat, even if the weather is nice at the time of the tour. Overall, it provided scenic views and affordable transportation.

Small town may not need bus tour

This is a typical hop on/hop off bus tour. There was nothing wrong with it, but Inverness is pretty small and there's not all that much to see from the bus. You can probably do as well just walking around. However, one leg of the route does get out into the countryside for about 20 min., so that might justify spending the time.

Harrison was such a knowledgeable and informative guide with lots of interesting stories. Skye is a beautiful area and if one does not have a car, and even if one does, this is an economical and stress free way to get a great overview of the island in one day…..though a long one. Only suggestion I could make would be to lower the volume on the music which is played when not providing narration. Thank you so much Harrison.

Nice Overview

We enjoy the hop on and off buses to allow us to get a feel for a location and the "lay of the land." This tour is short (small city/town), but made us feel comfortable in our ability to navigate the area. Since we were traveling by train, it was pouring during our stay and we had my parents with us, the tour allowed us to see the town easily in a way would not have otherwise been able to.

Missed the bus

Easy access in downtown Edinburgh to catch the bus. Great commentary with a bit of humor. It's the best way to see the highlights of the city, learn some history and get your bearings of what to explore next. Loved the Hop On Hop Off experience.
