The Hải Vân Pass tour was absolutely outstanding, and if you’re considering booking it, I can’t recommend it enough. It has been the highlight of my trip so far (5 days into a 15 day journey). My easy rider, Hai, was incredibly personable, kind, and knowledgeable. I booked a solo tour, and he made the entire experience feel fun, relaxed, and completely customizable. He went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing time while also ensuring I felt comfortable and safe throughout the journey. I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation. We started in Hoi An and rode toward Da Nang. Since I had already visited the Marble Mountains, Hai suggested taking me to the Lady Buddha instead, which was absolutely beautiful with incredible views. From there, we made our way up the Hải Vân Pass, stopping for coffee near the top overlooking some of the most stunning scenery I’ve seen in Vietnam. We continued to Hải Vân Gate at the highest point of the pass before descending all the way toward the Huế side. We stopped for lunch at a beautiful seaside restaurant, then spent the afternoon at a peaceful waterfall with crystal clear water and swimming spots. Throughout the day, Hải shared the history and culture behind each location, which made the experience even more meaningful and memorable. The entire tour felt like a genuine adventure while never once feeling unsafe or sketchy. It also didn’t feel overly touristy, which I really appreciated. The value for the experience is incredible, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting central Vietnam.
