Great tour with very helpful driver

Our driver Sam was fantastic, very knowledgeable and helpful. As well as taking us to the key sites he took us to the local market in Hue and even helped us bargain for gifts just like the locals!

Not so much of guided tour but rather a transportation

They were flexible and picked me up and dropped me off at the airport which was great. As this was a solo tour, I could see many places at my own pace. However, the “guide” is more of a driver who takes you to places and does not guide you the sites. He only gave limited information about the site before arriving there. Also his English was only ok and could not answer further questions.

It was an excellent way to visit the main highlights of Huế. Thanks to this service, we were able to see three Imperial Tombs, the pagoda, and the Citadel. We were not rushed and could truly enjoy our day in Huế. We do wish the title of this tour were “Driving Service to See Huế’s Major Highlights,” as that would better reflect the experience. Safe driver and very clean car. But overall, it was absolutely worth it!!

Great service to see all the major attractions

Hue has a lot of amazing sites to see and it is so worth a visit. We were on a tight schedule so we choose this tour to see as many sites as possible. Our driver Tuong I think that's the correct spelling? was friendly, courteous and helpful. We saw 5 locations, but this is not a guided tour, you need to read or get the information yourself at the stops. It worked perfectly for us as we were able to see each place at our own pace. I do think maybe a little insight into each location during the transport would have been helpful.

Not a guided tour which was our fault when they said English speaking driver, he was indeed an English Speaking driver, and that's all. Providing no information about the places we were visiting.

Great to have a driver as the sites are quite a distance from one another. Hoa was a great guide, super friendly, very informative about the sites and history & helped us with some other things. Highly recommend Hoa as your guide.

Highly recommended tour of Hue

Highly recommend booking this tour when in Hue, as there are many things that are some distance from the centre of the city, so having a driver to get you to/from everywhere made it all easy. We unfortunately had an extremely rainy day which put a bit of a dampner on the day, but we still had a very enjoyable time and saw some amazing things. There is some fascinating history in Hue, and some amazing buildings to see. Our driver was very safe and courteous, and did his best to help us through the extremely wet conditions. One thing to note with this experience - it is for a driver only, the driver doesn't come into the various sites with you to explain everything, however he made sure to explain things and tell us what to look for as we got to the stops. We were originally debating on whether to squeeze a stop in Hue into our intinerary or spend more time in Hoi An, and I'm glad we decided to see both cities.

It was not really a tour. The guide only drive us around and drop off. We have to go and see the attractions by ourself without any explanations and guidance. The driver did not even help in any ways other than driving us around. I don’t recommend this tour to anyone.

Our tour guide and driver’s name is Hien, he speaks English and took us around to see the tombs and the Hue Imperial City. Although it was raining the day we booked the trip, Hien was very attentive he brought umbrellas for us and provided excellent service.

I had initially booked the tour starting at noon, however my flight from HCM city to Hue got delayed. Initial correspondence through WhatsApp was disappointing as the company declined to reschedule. However, later I did get an email where they rescheduled the trip to next day. Full marks to Viator for accommodating the change despite no such policy. With regards to city trip, it was ideal given limited time I had in Hue. The driver, Ron was friendly and shared stories and history of Vietnam for his perspective. Be informed that the driver simple takes you to the sites but does not accompany you inside the location and you will need to hire guides or rent audio guides. Overall a good trip

The trip was incredibly nice. Seeing the tombs and getting a glimpse of the old imperial culture was an eye-opening experience. Also Mr. Trung shared some insightful information that really deepened my understanding of the local culture and history. His sense of humor added a fun and light-hearted touch to the tour. Excellent Private Car/Driver Combo Hue

This was not a tour but essentially the hiring of a private car/driver for the day. Tom was our driver and he was great, he was able to take us to the tombs of Minh Mang, Tu Duc & Khai Dinh, imperial city, pagoda and abandoned waterpark. Tom kept the AC on full and plenty of water for us during the 'feels like' 44 degree heat and took us to have lunch at a local stop.

Great experience especially with this driver!!!

We did this trip because of a limited time we had. Honestly was the best decision we made.. Our driver was Sam.. What to say for this guy!! An excellent person, very helpful, very willing to everything, he gave us tips for the places we wanted to go, he helped us with the communication with the people don't speak English, no rush not any limitations, excellent english speaker.. For sure this tour wouldn't be the same without this specific driver.. thank you for everything Sam, it was pleasure meeting you ❤️

A good way to see the sites of Hue.

While the cost was more than if you arranged individual trips to each of the sites, having a driver available to you was hassle free. The driver, Voi was engaging and knowledgeable, flexible to meet our needs on the day and was always right there when done. No pressure of time. Vehicle was excellent and water always on hand.

It's basically a driving service with a driver can speak English. The driver just drove us to several places and waited for us outside when we finished our visit for each temple or tomb.

A tour of Hue with Son

Our driver, Son, messaged in the morning to confirm our pick up. He arrived promptly and explained the plan for the day. He spoke good English and taught us a bit about his home town, as well as the detail for the planned stops at the Citadel and Tombs. Before the end of the trip, he also showed us some local sights that we would not have known about otherwise. A very worthwhile trip.

Great driver, sites not worth the time

My 5 stars review is really for the driver. The tour was to The Citadel and 4-5 other tombs. The Citadel was interesting, but frankly, once you've seen a tomb, the others were all the same and boring. The entrance fees were high for Vietnam, at 150k-200k VND pp for each tomb site. With thousands of people going through those sites, the amount they collect has got to be huge, yet it doesn't look like the money goes into the upkeep of the sites. Kinda makes you wonder where all that money is going, huh? The driver, Trung, was great. He told us of the area and the sites we were going to go see. He's not a guide, so he won't accompany you to the sites, but he's great. Without him, I'd give this tour a 1 or 2 and would encourage you to just get a Grab to the Citadel and skip the tombs. Those were a waste of money.
