Great Tour!

Josué was our guide. He shared his wealth of knowledge about the history, geography, and culture—even explained the flora and fauna of the areas we were exploring. The transportation was clean, comfortable and air-conditioned. We left early enough to beat the crowds, and we finished at a lovely restaurant overlooking Lake Coatepeque. We were very pleased with this tour. Our guide, Gaby, from El Salvador Positive Tours contacted us the night before the trip to ensure that we were prepared. She was as she arrived at our hotel on time. She provided great commentary throughout the day and was helpful throughout the climb up and down the mountain. As for the climb itself we were able to go at four own pace since this was a private tour- very important. Gaby selected a nice lunch place for us that was very good. Overall we enjoyed the tour and were quite pleased with our guide.

Would highly recommend this tour. Osmaro was our guide and was so informative. Pick up was punctual and stops were made when asked. The hike itself was not too hard if you are physically fit but could be more difficult for those who are not used to hiking. There is an initial steep incline with terrain changing from forestry to unshaded rocky areas. The views throughout are amazing. Once reaching the crater, it is absolutely worth the hike. The lake is also absolutely beautiful with an opportunity to swim in it.
