What can I say? Or rather where should I start? 😊 My hubby and I were picked up on time by Pablo, who was our tour guide as well as our driver. Pablo speaks great English. Pablo was very engaging, friendly, funny, kind, considerate and most importantly: patient. This hike was no joke! If you are not in shape/don't really do any physical activity, you will not survive this hike! I walk approximately 2 miles every morning and 5 miles on the weekends. This hike kicked my butt! I wanted to give up, but Pablo was amazing! Once you reach to the top, the view is amazing and Pablo will take photos/videos for you. Please be advised that the incline going up is no joke! The descent is also somewhat strenuous! Please wear proper shoes! Bring water, hat, sunglasses. This hike is not for the weak! Thank goodness for Pablo and local guide Christina. Am I glad I did the hike? Yes. Would I do it again? Most definitely not! Lol!

Breathtaking view!
Logistics: Pick up was on time. We stop a gas station for breakfast, snacks, and water for the trip. We arrived at main destination. The hike was relatively 5k. I recommend hiking shoes and bringing bottle water.

I went with my younger brother and while the hike was a little challenging, it was definitely doable and we had a great time. Our guide was Chamba and he was very friendly and a great guide and we loved our experience.

Climbing to the top of Santa Ana Volcano is a must do when visiting and we were lucky to start early and be at the top with very few people. Salva was our guide and super friendly and informative. The hike itself was moderate and if you need to rest you can definitely take your time. The view from the top does not disappoint. Worth the effort and extremely memorable.

Although it was rainy and cloudy, it was definitely worth the trek! The clouds cleared just long enough for us to have some amazing views of the crater and lake. Marbel was my guide, and he was attentive and jovial. When it started raining he lent me his jacket even though he got drenched to protect my camera gear (and myself). He also took the time to take me to get a COVID test for travel. Made everything so much easier on my side!

The trip was amazing; we were well received from the time we were picked up at the hotel until we were dropped off. During the trip, yes, it is mandatory to have shoes for hiking. Very useful. The climb is a challenge but the view compensates for everything. Our guides were the best. Always pending.
