Most Amazing Guide
We had the best day ever with Mike as our guide. He very thoughtfully asked if we would like to go to Knossos first before it got too busy which we did. He was extremely informative throughout the whole day and he had extensive knowledge about everywhere we visited. He arranged for us to go to a local pottery workshop as Zeus's cave was temporarily closed. The owners kindly offered us food and drink and let us have a go at making pots out of clay. He allowed us all the time we wanted to take photos and we never felt rushed. I would absolutely recommend this trip to anyone.

Awesome tour around the Lassithi plateau - with lots of rain added in!
Lovely excursion with a good combination of ancient sites plus wonderful local shops and food. Olive oil factory, cheese making shop (with yummy tastings!), a delightful coffee shop in one of the villages on the Lassithi plateau, and finally delicious Greek food for lunch. Then we visited the Knossos palace - the rain letting up for most of our time there. In spite of a lot of rain, we were given an excellent experience.

This tour was incredible....
This tour was incredible. Stavros was super attentive and gave us time to stay in certain places for longer if we wanted. It was a tour for just the three of us but he took us to a great lunch place (we had a tomato horta that was exceptional) and was very detailed about everything. He was very interactive, personable, and funny. My favorite part was the plateau. It was incredible to see a different way of life.

A brilliant day trip with our wonderful guide Christina who brought the Palace to life
A brilliant. Interesting day with our guide Christina who was amazing. She brought Knossos Palace to life and is so knowledgeable. Then a brief tour of the Venetian buildings in Herkalion. The Orthodox Greek church is one of the best we have seen. We had already visited the Museum where the artifacts. Paintings and mosaics are housed from the Palace and recommend you do this as well

Crete’s capital and largest city, Heraklion, sits not far from the center of the island’s north coast, meaning you can reach anywhere in Crete on a day trip—while ferries will bring you as far afield as Santorini. Some of the top Heraklion day trips include sailing to uninhabited Dia Island, off-road safaris through villages and olive groves, hiking the 10-mile (16-kilometer) Samaria Gorge, and heading west to Chania Old Town or pink-tinted Elafonisi Beach. From the Lassithi Plateau windmills to the fortress isle of Spinalonga, Heraklion makes the perfect base.
