What are people saying about Hakone

We booked this private...
We booked this private half day tour in Hakone, and it was perfect for what our family needed. After a full week of all-day walking around Tokyo, we wanted to do a more relaxed and laidback tour around Hakone, and our tour with John delivered! It truly helped that he is a local, and was quite knowledgeable of the area + must-see spots. He was very friendly as well, and kept our little kids engaged during the entire tour! We highly recommend this company — and make sure you ask for John! :)

Great private tour with Tak!
Our tour guide Tak was awesome! We did a private tour with him and he took great care of us! He even made sure Mt. Fuji didn’t have any cloud cover for us! 😉 he was very knowledgeable and showed us around the Hakone area. It was nice to not worry about where to go or how to get there.

Amazing Tour!
Hiro was absolutely amazing! Even though it wasn’t the best day to see Mt. Fuji, Hiro took us around the Hakone loop and showed us everything! He was very knowledgeable about japanese history and even gave us our own japanese language lesson at the soba noodle place he took us to. I cannot recommend Hiro and this tour enough!!

Hakone Overview
It was a great overview of different sites in Hakone. Our guide Yumiko-san took us to a local restaurant for lunch that had really good authentic feel. The other sites also were not too touristy and was very relaxing. I love that we got to experience a tea ceremony in Gora Park one last time before leaving Japan. It was a long day but really maximized the sightseeing.

The scenic mountain town of Hakone is known for its hot springs resorts and excellent views of Mt. Fuji’s snow-capped peak, and some Hakone tours include a traditional onsen experience. You can also take guided forest bathing walks, visit the town’s open-air art museum, attend a tea ceremony to learn more about the culture of tea, explore Hakone’s botanical garden, or go on a boat ride on Lake Ashi to see the bright red torii gate that marks the entrance to a Shinto shrine.
