What are people saying about Galway

As the saying goes Gary...
As the saying goes Gary is the best! Gary was a fabulous guide. He shared so many interesting facts, he is clearly passionate and knowledgeable. Gary took the time to check in on each guest on our tour, always greeted us with a smile, and made us feel incredibly comfortable. We would certainly book a tour with this group again - ESPECIALLY if Gary is our guide!

So so much fun! Pavel was a lovely tour guide. The friend I was traveling with actually missed the ferry from the Aran islands back to Doolin and everyone was incredibly helpful getting her back home to Galway. Wonderful people. GORGEOUS place. Highly recommend!!! (it's worth renting a bike when you're on the island so that you can see more)

A fun day
My friend and I took this tour. Eoin, our tour guide and driver, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The cliffs are beautiful, the cave was cool., and the food we stopped for at lunch was yummy. Some advice for individuals who are prone to motion sickness: take medicine beforehand. The roads in Ireland have a texture and are exceedingly winding. Through no fault of the driver, the ride to and from was rough for me.

A beautiful drive to a beautiful destination
The trip from Galway through Connemara to Kylemore was extremely picturesque. Kylemore Abbey was definitely worth the visit. I loved all our tour guide’s insights, though too many of the things pointed out seemed to be on the driver’s side of the bus. Overall I felt in good hands. The bus was new and the sensors kept going off, I hope they find a way to turn those off as all the beeps were pretty annoying and obviously the driver was as far from the edge of the road as he could be, so all the tree branches and bushes near the narrow road were making it go off all the time. Obviously not his fault, just a bother. My only complaint is that our guide gave us a basic run down of what order we should do kylemore in, but didn’t point out specifically that the restaurant is outside the gates, and we went to eat in the middle of our visit, but worried they wouldn’t let us back in as we had already given our ticket stub and did not have receipts like those purchasing tickets on site. Luckily they did! Though the first lady seemed like she was not inclined to.

Galway is the perfect home base for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and other gems in Western Ireland, but there’s plenty to enjoy in the city itself. Galway tours show you the town’s medieval landmarks, lively Latin Quarter, and locally-loved venues for live Irish folk music. You can even opt for tours spotlighting Galway’s traditional pubs or chilling ghost stories. If you fancy getting out of the city, simply follow a guide to the seaside villages, mountainside castles, and sheep-speckled hiking trails near Connemara and the Cliffs of Moher.
