What are people saying about El Calafate

Great trip to see glacier
The tour was vey good. I was the only English speaking passenger but our guide was very patient and explained everything in English. The optional boat ride was fun, but if you do not have mobility issues, I suggest you just hike the same portion of the glacier that the boat navigates to. The photos of the boat tour are not too accurate because it looks like the boat really gets close to the glacier, but it does not. It is still a distance away but you can always zoom in. Spectacular! I liked the yellow portion of the walkway, got to see another side of the glacier. We had a wonderful
Guide, Rebecca, and great driver, Lucas.

El Chalten, don't miss it
A little bcold getting on the bus, takes awhile to warm it up. Seen wildlife on the way, gaucho herding cattle. The treks were decent , n ut the mountain peaks weren't being friendly, didn't open up, looked like if you were up there it would of been rough

A must do if you are in El Calafate!
It was absolutely amazing! It was an easy hike, total time on ice about over an hour. Guide was very knowledgeable, let us have picture stops at several points during the hike. It was my first time being so close to the glacier, crevices, sink holes. Total hike was about 3 hours. A little surprise at the end of hike: whisky with glacial ice (or water if you prefer) was served at the end.

An excellent, leisurely way to visit Perito Moreno glacier!
This was an easy way to get up to Perito Moreno glacier and have plenty of time to explore on your own. Our rental car wasn’t available yet and honestly, going up with a small group and letting someone else drive was probably much easier. The boat trip up to the glacier was a good introduction, providing plenty of deck space to have a clear view and take pictures. Having driven up to the glacier, there was no rushing about—just a good deal of time to contemplate Perito Moreno from various angles provided by the boardwalk trails.

Absolutely stunning...
Absolutely stunning mountain scenery! Great tour guide. Excellent way to see the mountains in an efficient and safe way. Lovely hike. Nice boxed lunch. Lots of stops to allow for restroom breaks, souvenir shopping, coffee/food, passports review, etc. Highly recommend!

A lovely experience to...
A lovely experience to learn about the history, vegetation and lives of the people so many millions of years ago. Our guide, Mel, was amazing, so knowledgeable, kind and patient. The lamb stew was delicious!! A great way to experience the culture of the place.

Lovely day to view the Glacier and the park
Seem to have dealt with alot of companies on this trip; Tangol, Gigantes Patagones, and the tour operator on the day seemed to be Tiempolibre who supplied the coaches and tour guide. Prompt pickup at my hotel and a bus feeder transfer to a coach outside El Calafate. Was booked to do the optional boat ride at 10AM with balcones after. You can also buy the park ticket at the park entrance 45,000 ars with cash or card. Toilet breaks along the way, and there is a Cafe at the glacier centre. After getting our boat tickets we were then told the boat had departed, and the boat was cancelled until 1PM. So we did the balcones first. No big deal. Stunning glacier and good narration in English. I would recommend this trip.

It's a long trip but worththe effort
Great whatsapp comms the day before with A PDF explaining the park passes and chile declarations. You MUST complete both b4 you travel, plus bring your passport. 4WD truck arrived at my hotel on time. Trip lasted about 14 hours. The tour guided Silvestre and Jackie and driver Gusavo were really awesome hroughout the trip, plus the Park ked lunch was great quality .. saw condors, pumas and guanacos, plus a x 1.5 hour trek in the national park. I was very happy with the trip and recommend this to anyone. It's just the border crossings that take the time and are a pain.

Enjoyed every minute.
We loved it, the horses are very experienced, look after you and take you on a ride along the tracks in the hills above Lake Argentina. The views are stunning, the lake, the snow capped mountains and the Patagonian steppes.
The guides are very good, they pick a horse for you, give a little briefing on how to ride if you are inexperienced and also good company on the ride.
Afterwards we had a cooked meal in their restaurant and then dropped off back in town.
A memorable experience for us on our tour of Argentina.

We enjoyed this...
We enjoyed this excursion. The time flies by quickly and our guide Noella was good at providing information during the more monotonous parts (the drive back and forth). Everything was clearly explained, obviously slightly better in Spanish, but still more than sufficiently in English. The glacier itself is amazing and we enjoyed having the time to do both the boat ride and the walkways, as they provide different but valuable perspectives. I've heard people say that this can be expensive compared to just going it alone, and while that may be true, the convenience of having everything handled and not driving ourselves was worth it for us.

Great Experience. Great Staff. Truly Beautiful
Very helpful team. Nice focus on enjoying the quiet and beauty of the glacier. Very willing to help take pictures and give you the most enjoyable natural experience you can. Help them out by having a tether for your phone/camera so they don't have to worry about dropping YOUR phone while they're helping take a picture of you.

You can take perfect photos during the trek, and the weather can be adjusted, with perfect lighting. The guides are very friendly and contribute to the atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
